*** This Review is from about a year ago.  I'm posting it now because someone has asked about it today and I realised I'd forgotten to post it before. ***

As there are no prices on Dream Oriental's Gumtree advert, I sent a text enquiry to check.

Prompt response saying  £50, full assistance herbal bath before massage and parking available on forecourt.

I then received a further text stating "no extra".

My first thought was, "no extra for herbal bath", then wondered whether it meant, "no extras". Decided not to bother seeking clarification, made booking and decided to wait and see.

Received further text, "see you at reception".

As I was staying close by, I decided to walk. If I had driven then, yes, there was ONE space available to park on so beware if you do drive there as you might not be so lucky.

As I entered reception a male walked past me who I suspect owns, or works there, (I'd seen him working on a car out front earlier).

As I was attempting to text to say I was there, a young white woman appeared said, "massage?, I'll show you down".

Again, I assume she works for the hotel because when I got downstairs it caused confusion as to who I was and how I got there.

Eventually we sorted that out and I was shown into a room. Assisted herbal bath? No mention was made of it and, having heard indifferent reports about it, I decided not to ask.

I was then asked for  £45 (not the  £50 per text).

So, just to recap, parking (if you're lucky), no herbal bath (with or without assistance), the possibility of confusion at reception but, again if you're lucky, possibly  £45 rather than  £50.

My masseuse was Tracey who was very interested in my massage history especially when I mentioned I'd been to Wecare. This at least served as the "ice-breaker" to discuss "extras".

Eventually I was asked what I would like today. I tentatively asked, "B2B? (she didn't seem someone who would) and was surprised by the agreement.

However, after a discussion in Chinese with someone outside the room, it became apparent someone else would be coming in to provide this.

Enter Fei Fei who confirmed what I wanted and provided it. An enjoyable interlude before she left and Tracey returned to finish the massage.

I did ask Tracey whether she ever provided extras but she stated she only does massage and acupuncture. She did quiz me about how good Fei Fei was and how she compared with the Wecare girls.

So all a bit confusing but both Tracey (massage) and Fei Fei (B2B) were good.

Nb I believe "Fei Fei" has since left but works nearby under a different name.

I phoned just outside the hotel to say I had arrived. I was told to just make my way through the front entrance to the basement tho the maseuse herself (ex Art Hairdressing BTW) came up from the basement anyway to meet me.

I did that to avoid catching them unawares and so as to not bump into the previous punter as they cd be running late and they may not have had a waiting area. Tracey was presumably the older woman I saw who was answering phone calls and sending texts, her English was good compared to the masseuse I saw (ex Art Hardressing) which was poor and I cdnt have a meaningful conversation.

I have had Tracey before and she does do HE.   I also went once and rather than the traditional massage table the other room had a double mattress on the floor.
