This may be of interest to some.  I got in touch with Boots the other day to have a check up and get a new supply of the pills I use.  They couldn't fit me in then also mentioned that they would be discontinuing this service from August.

They said I could go online complete the questionnaire and get the pills like that or go instore.  In the case of the latter only the branded ones would be available and they are very expensive compared to what I usually take..

Anyway I got myself registered on the site, completed the questionnaire, providing some extra information as I don't think there's any point in withholding information when it comes to my health, clicked, paid and after their pharmacist gave it the all clear I'm picking them up in  day or two. There's a postal option  but it requires a signature.  The store will too but it's more convenient.

They do ask for your GP's details and as its a prescription will have to inform them.  That's no problem for me.

I'm not going to change the pills I use as they are fine so I'm pretty comfortable with the process.  The worst part was Boots' website which is dreadful and kept freezing.

Hope this is of some use.
