I saw a video on YouTube today. Where the podcaster reported that AI will replace women on OF. That means will (men) will be able to create our perfect women online which will push out the adult content creators. Just look at Phub. There are ads promoting AI women.

Does that mean that female OF performers will come back to AW giving us more choice?

Did OF have that big of an impact? I’ve only started recently so don’t remember the ‘before’.

Around 2020/21 dozens of girls I had matched with on the apps started doing it. Some were using tinder to push their accounts but most were ordinary girls trying to capitalise on it alongside ordinary dating/hookups. Of these, only one of them ever made enough to live off it (though I suspect she’s rolling in it now) and I doubt she would have escorted. The vast majority of people don’t make enough money for it to be much of a competition with escorting. I run Stable Diffusion on my laptop with a 4070 GPU. This means I can generate any image I want in a few seconds. All in high definition and photo quality. Videos are possible, but take much longer.

AI generated women are certainly going to be a thing. Such "women" are, of course, highly attuned to the creators preferences, are able to fulfill every desire and never say no.

Overtime, I've created a particular character I call Katya. She's very precisely described and really is my ideal form. In fact, she is a close as I can remember to a girl I once met at Glastonbury in the 1990s. Shades of The Truman Show.

One day soon, I think perhaps we will all have such "digital partners".

Your theory is based on assuming  OF performers are women for whom in-person sex work is possible. This isn't necessarily the case.

I think what OnlyFans added was the ability to subscribe to a woman and receive extras as a benefit. In general I would say that AI is a threat to SPs providing any on-line service. Not only can AI generate pictures and videos, but AI can also chat to the user. It will not be the same as chatting to a real person but it will probably be close enough for a lot of SS.

This might lead to a situation where SPs need to rely on in-person meets to distinguish themselves from AI offerings. However, some  SP will simply leave the sex industry altogether. There are SP who  only want to do on-line work. If given the choice between moving to in-person work or giving up on the sex industry, then they will leave the sex industry.

In an attention economy podcasters (and many other people) have a strong incentive to say all sorts of speculative sh*t for money - that's literally their business model.

One of the things OF offered over porn was the illusion of connection with a human and there will probably still be a premium for that - or we'd all just be consuming porn in the old-fashioned way and OF would never have taken off.

If OF tighten up their verification model and maybe label profiles as "human content" they could maybe preserve that premium ?

In the same way that SPs on AW hold up dated hand written signs to say "I'm not fake" ...

This could happen. A similar thing happened with Air BnB. Scammers would pull photos from real estate web sites and then put on fake Air BnB adverts, taking money and leaving the owners of the properties to deal with the problem of guests turning up and wanting to stay. It became such a problem that Air BnB had to insist and a trusted photographer had to visit and photo graph all new listings to ensure that the place was legit and was truly available to be rented out.

OF could do the same. You can only list yourself as a human SP if you are willing to be checked out and verified.
