Author Topic: Anyone been to Hua Hin?  (Read 1798 times)

For me next trip to LOS, I'm considering spending a few days in Hua Hin (for the Thai culture  :D) before heading over to Pattaya. Any members been before? Tips and advice or monger-ish anecdotes would be welcome.  :drinks:

I've been there though, believe it or not, I go to Thailand because I'm into travel rather than for the women.

Hua Hin is a decent sized town with everything including a half decent beach and plenty of bars. Lots of freelance women about so no trouble finding someone to take your fancy in the bars.

Apparently there are streetwalkers by the Hilton Hotel though that's not really my scene. There are a few massage shops where Girls try and entice you in.

A few years ago there was a branch of the famous "Lolitas" blow job bar chain. They've now shut down and been replaced with a regular bar. The Lolitas was quiet though there were a few nice looking girls there. Quite a few tourists so probably about time something equivalent opened up there.

Overall a fairly relaxed place with nightlife and a nice overall feel to it.

Agreed, it doesn't seem as chaotic as Pattaya. I'm currently checking out via google maps the area around Soi Bintabaht (:D). From what I can tell the beaches don't seem up to much, so a hotel with a pool may be necessary. On the plus side, the beer looks cheap - even cheap enough for Jimmy.

I’ll be there in early Feb, bump the thread again after that and I’ll give you an answer....

Stayed there with a BKK WG follow-up freebie years ago. Used to be a lovely quiet, quite exotic, beach and little else, a few peaceful (and cheap vfm) guest houses, that sort of stuff. Now it’s more citified. In case you find that’s not your cup of tea, the train south as far as Surat Thani goes near the ferry to Ko Samui, which is a bit more out there. I got a wood cabin on the beach on the north side of the island. A sleepy village, nearby boats to legendary Ko Pha Ngan, a few punters in the excellent (and only) bar and when you need a fuck you just hire a moto into town (other side of the island, full of yanks), get a carry out or fuck her onsite. I’ve only done the train on the return trip but it doubtless runs both ways. Also avoids the horrendous prices of airfares between Ko Samui and BKK.

Just thought I’d throw it in. But enjoy your holiday!!

Hua Hin is ok, it’s quieter than Pattaya but still has enough bars for the girls. They are mostly in an area called Binterbaht. It’s also worth going to the nightclubs for freelancers as well.

Not been myself but a good friend of mine is there at the moment, he prefers it to Pattaya and claims there is not the same lowlife that you get in Pattaya.

A ferry runs daily from Bali Hai Pier, leaves at 10am, return sailings leave at 13.00 ----------- Bali Hai Pier is at the far end of Walking Street, it takes two hours and the economy fare is 1250 baht one way.

It's the ferry that worries me. It looks like they only have one boat, so what if it breaks down or there's bad weather and it can't sail? It means I've got a 5 hour road-trip to Pattaya.  :(

Bangers, ffs it's Thailand! Trains are late, buses crash, and ferries capsize or explode.

But for all the ones that end in disaster, there are statistically more, even in Thailand, that don't. I didn't know about the ferry but it sounds like a no-brainer. Just send us a photo of your last Hua Hin hooker so we can give you a good send off in case your ferry goes down.

As much as I like a night out in Patts it wouldn’t be hard the find less lowlife just about anywhere, the place is a scum magnet.

Here now, quite like it actually. The main bar area is basically a couple of streets, certainly enough to keep you going for a few days.

There is another area on Soi 80 with quite a few bars, not sure what it’s like though as when I walked down there it was closed up.

Be aware that everything shuts at 1am, the disco in the Hilton goes on until 2am.
