1 hour massage
In case I ramble on and you can't be arsed reading this doesn't have a happy ending.
I had read a few reviews on here about people not getting any more than a massage here, but as I've visited a few Liverpool Thai places I couldn't believe that extras weren't on offer so I went in quite arrogantly thinking I could get one.
Paid for the 40 for hour and the older lady on reception told me she would get a girl to give me a relaxing massage. She wrote in the diary I would be seeing Dow.
Showed to the room and got undressed, no shower in room, and Dow came in with what looked like a tool box. I explained I like quite a hard massage as I occasionally get a sore back.
She started and told me I was tense and asked if she could use the hammer, I said sure. She then literally showed me a rubber mallet (normally used for hitting in tent pegs) and solid wooden cylinder and then literally chiselled the shit out of my back, shoulders and arms for about 40 minutes. THIS HURT. A LOT. I have no idea if this is a recognised massage technique. (The episode of friends where Ross massages someone with a Tonka truck springs to mind.)
There was a lot of giggling from the room next door, the walls are quite thin between the rooms, and that seemed to spur Dow on to hurt me more, as did my attempts to get my ending. I stroked her leg a few times but the only response from Dow was to chisel a pressure point in my arm which made my fingers flex and relax at her will. I was completely at her mercy and when she commented I was tense or stiff just ignored my answers of I'm tense all over.
No accidental cc swipes and as it came to my hour I accepted my fate and got dressed as she filled her tool box and left.
A couple of days later I'm giving this a neutral. If I'd just gone in with the complete understanding no happy ending was on offer then it would be a positive, I feel fantastic. But it could also be a negative cos who has ever heard of a Thai that doesn't give endings?
Maybe it's just Dow that doesn't give them. Maybe I should learn my lesson and go to my regular haunts of Siam or hatta but I can't help feeling I'm gonna have to go and see Dow again, maybe next time..... And if all else fails I'll get another painful but ultimately good massage
