However, they do labour under the misconception that Prostitution is illegal in Britain, when it isn't.

The London Metropolitan University did a study of immigrant sex workers (a.k.a., foreign prostitutes) in the U.K. because they were curious about all the human sex trafficking we’ve been hearing about the past few years. Surprisingly, it turns out that their life is a lot more like Secret Diary of a Call Girl than anything else:

    Only 13% felt exploited and less than half of those (6%) felt forced into prostitution. Which means 87% were perfectly happy hooking.
    Of the ones that were exploited, most were in the country illegally; others didn’t know their rights, or had personal issues
    The sex workers were from every kind of background: from rich to poor, post-graduates to grade-school drop outs, and good families to dysfunctional ones
    Most of them were not prostitutes before moving to the U.K., and did not move there thinking they’d get into it
    The majority started being call girls after working in jobs that didn’t pay well and/or had bad working conditions, mainly “in the hospitality and care sectors”
    They got into the business through friends and colleagues that were in it who seemed to like it
    What they didn’t like about it: the stigma of being a whore, the hardship of leading a double life (especially with boyfriends and family), and the fact that since it’s illegal, a small number of jackasses feel it’s ok to steal from or beat them
    What they liked about it: the money, the hours, meeting interesting people, travelling, excitement, moving up in the world, better living and working conditions
    Most of them specifically pointed out that they liked their job; they were on friendly terms with clients and colleagues and their life was generally better than before

They probably get £1 an hour hard labour in sweat shops with no air conditioning or any other amenities in the country where they are from.

So £100-£120 an hour in a reasonably easy job compared to the above would literally be a dream come true.

I truly wish more EE and Russian girls would come to Newcastle as I personally love them. Especially the accent. Have not saw a single EE/Russian girl yet though.

Nothing that you or the prostitute do, when alone together, is illegal in Britain as regards sex, so you may as well shout it from the rooftops.

You might well get a look of disapproval from the local vicar and the neighbours and the guardians of public morality though.

Unless you are with one of the 13% who felt exploited or trafficked.  Exploitation implies coersion.

Feeling exploited has little to do with being trafficked, people earning the minimum wage in Mc Donalds would no doubt think they are being exploited.

If its outside in public where the neighbours or vicar can see you you could get done in theory so i would recommend being discreet and not shouting it from the rooftops. And of course on-street soliciting is illegal as is kerb crawling where you would be alone with the WG.

If indoors and the WG hasnt been trafficked or being coerced then its perfectly legal, the problem comes in following Harriet Harridans crusade that in her law it doesnt matter that the punter wasnt aware the WG was being coerced, its a strict liability offence so not knowing is irrelevant in theory. In practice i have read that not one prosecution has been found by legal eagles for this offence, its a bark to scare punters off rather than to bite them at least so far. Hopefully not many women are being coerced and the trafficking figures for sex are made up as Operations Pentameters 1 and 2 proved to me. Being voluntarily trafficked on a Bond is another matter, i dont agree with it and think its wholly wrong as well as being illegal.

As to this survey in my opinion its guesswork, punting is by its nature a secretive pastime, i dont believe these surveys myself, i take them with a pinch of salt.

I personally think its the basics to find out the law rather than assuming you are breaking it when you maybe are not. That must cause worry to some WGs which is totally unnecessary by doing some checking. I certainly agree some WGs and punters in my experiences do believe all punting is illegal.

Given a choice between being a care assistant cleaning up old people's shit and sick for £7.50 an hour, and having sex with people I don't find particularly attractive for £120 an hour, I know what I'd rather do.    Eastern Europeans are, on the whole a lot more pragmatic than Brits because of all the bullshit they had to put up with at home. 

Most of the jobs they come over here to do are really, really shit, boring, often dangerous, badly paid, and the locals can't be arsed to do them because they're rather bum around on the dole. So yeah, I'd say hooking is a pretty good gig compared to that.

I also suspect that it's less psychologically taxing being a prostitute in a foreign country.  Most of the girls I've spoken to view their 'back home' lives as very separate from their 'uk' lives.   There's certainly less hassle with trying to hide what you are up to from family, friends etc.
