question about UKE vs UKP

Got me into a better punting life, AND introduced me to SA, so UKP has improved my day to day fun
THATS what Im appreciative of.

It does cross my mind now and then though, how much of this guys life do these sites take up for Admin, alongside whatever else he does,  it cant be no mean feat, keeping an eye on it all, sites, servers, threats, messages, security, blah blah.

some great posts about the early days of the site. little did I realize when I came across UKP several years ago how much I would come to enjoy being a part of it and be on it as often as I am.

It does surprise me however, that members who have been here a while don't take a few minutes to read the site rules.

I read the site rules when i first joined and just forgot about that bit since i wasn't interested in UKE at the time but then i kept seeing it pop up over time. Didn't think to check it again. I just had a vague recollection that there was a connection and the owners were linked (and turns out it's the same owner and there's only one owner which i also forgot).

Thanks for all of the replies everyone and thanks to admin as well  , interesting to learn about the history of the site even beyond just my basic question  .

I thought the UKE thumbnail banners at the top and bottom would make any visitor to UKP know the sites are linked / have same owner, but it seems it's not clear to everyone.

So I'll think of adding a notice on each UKP page to clarify that UKE is owned by UKP and that is where to post free adverts.

I too am grateful for your dedication to the site Admin. One of my concerns for you is what happens to these sites that you manage if you had any serious illness. Have you given any thought to horizon planning.
I really don't know how you deal with the volume of work that the two main sites generate. Some how you need to lighten the load and you've created the notices which is a good start. But even so the work load must be daunting.
I'm sure you are aware of all this but just need to say it and thanks for all the work you do.

It's definitely obvious that they're linked, it's less obvious how strong of a link it is (i.e. that it's the same owner) unless you go looking on the site rules page.

thanks again for your work in maintaining this site though, unbribeable and impartial review sites are super important for any industry. even moreso one where you can't really report to trading standards for things like false advertising  .

I think Adultwork needs to be monitored as well by admins
A lot of scammers are on there and also alot of escorts from there are quick to out punters personal details if they find out you haven't left them a glowing review on UKP!

Adultwork still make money from scammers, I dont think they will allow admins to eat into their large profits.
