How long should you abstain from punting before getting tested to get a close to 100% reliable test result back?

Probably best to never start punting in the first place. (And please take care crossing roads).

2-3 weeks for gonorrhea etc but my understanding is that you need to wait about 3 months for the blood borne virus's like HIV and Herpes

At least 2 weeks prior to testing and wait for the results before your next punt.

It takes 10 days to get in your system if you have caught anything, so best wait until after that before you get tested, as previously someone said anything more sinister takes 3 months before it shows

Herpes you'll only get a reliable result on from a live sore (from what I understand)

Gonorreah ..  2 weeks
Chlamydia .. 2 weeks
HIV 4th or 5th generation test with p24 antigen. 28 days
Herpes .. either swob from a sore or do a IGG blood test 12-16 weeks after exposure
Syphilis .. 3 months
Others... Usually 2 weeks is adequate

Don't want to sound patronising, but shouldn't u get tested every 4-6 weeks anyway if your actively punting? - so any condition gets identified as a matter of routine?

(Ofc sometimes that's easier said than done - my local GUM closed down and runs occasionally now from inside a Mother and Baby / Well Women's Centre. Most of the bitches at reception treat you like dogshit.)
