Heads up for those who are planning a punt around the Liverpool street station area this weekend, the station will be fully closed.

Liverpool Street mainline station is closed this weekend, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026, for major engineering works, including roof upgrades. No Greater Anglia, Stansted Express, or direct c2c services will operate. Passengers should expect severe disruption, with services starting/terminating at Stratford and replacement buses to Newbury Park.

Key Disruptions: No mainline train services will operate from London Liverpool Street.

Alternative Transport: Greater Anglia services will terminate at Stratford.

Elizabeth Line: Services to/from the main national rail station are affected, although deep-level tube platforms may be functioning (check local signage).
