Evening gents!
Does anyone have experience with paying with cash at travelodge? Obviously the reason is to avoid a creditcard trail, but is it easy to keep confidential? I know you have to show ID for example, so do they ever try to get in touch about the stay? Any advice gratefully recieved.
All the best

you're going to need a card to book the room against in advance.......unless you were intending to turn up  on spec and hope.
You best bet it to get yourself a prepaid "credit" card in a fake name, charge it with cash and use that

You could ring the hotel first to see if they have any availability on the day, then turn up as a chance guest and pay cash they may ask for a card imprint for security if you wreck something but wont use it if you pay cash. Then fill out the reg card with fake name fake address. If you book the room in advance you have to use a card but you can pay on arrival with cash and your card will not be used so nothing will show on your bill. If you book with a card they will need your email address and will send you messages asking for feed back so just use a personal email address that only you have access to.

You need to give credit card details when you make a booking, but when you check-in, just pay with cash. I've done it a couple of times. It's just for guarantee purposes, so I presume they would charge the card if you don't turn up.
