A lot of people didn't / don't like the SB pop up either and while I agree whenever I see the London TS pop up I think "WTF" and close it down we need to remember that it's paid advertising which helps to pay for the site to be run

If there wasn't paid advertising then all members would need to start paying or new members who already pay a yearly subscription would need to pay more which then puts more people off and eventually the site goes downhill and dies
Asking many of the older members to start using Bitcoin to pay will IMO see many of them simply not bother due to struggling with the dynamics of doing it which again damages the site

It's a necessary evil which we have to put up with but at the end of the day 1st world problems etc
