Question to long standing punters:

Do you find yourself getting less and less satisfaction with your punts.

When you start out it is the buzz and the excitement of the new.

These days I find my Positive experiences are becoming less and less.

I tend not to stay with regulars as I am always looking for that next new great girl. But not getting the old kicks...

45 years old now. Its been 20 years since my first paid encounter. Great times on 5 continents.  Maybe time to hang up the boots and retire?

Don't rule out decreasing libido as a natural part of the ageing process, I'm sure that is a partial factor but yes, I remember the time when I loved spending hours sifting through girls on AW and creating shortlists, then doing second sifts, etc etc. I really can't be arsed now and am extremely suspicious of new girls. The problem is that there is an initial thrill in simply having the balls to contact WG's, this heightens the experience but inevitably you become immune to this side of things. Ringing a WG is now no more exciting to me than ringing the local Dominos Pizza shop to order takeout. I genuinely believe that the actual punting is better now than it ever was because I have a higher success rate with picking the right girls and sticking to tried and tested regulars. What has gone for me is the build up and the shopping around, which no longer holds any excitement for me whatsoever.

Try calling earlier in the day. The little sleep needed is an advantage of getting on a bit, isn't it? Why not call straight after the morning crossword or morning walk?

I'm in my fifties and have been punting for over twenty years and I think things have never been better.  I know what I want, and what's more, how to get it.  Yes AW is far from perfect, but the OP should remember back to the pre-internet days of back page adverts in the local rag (or adverts in newsagents windows such as "Big Chest For Sale"!) where you really had no idea of what services were on offer, what the girl looked like and OWO and FK (never mind DFK) was rare.  Yes, there is a lot of rubbish on AW, but it is increasingly likely than we can spot the poor service providers using the vast experience of the membership of UKP.  If you are not sure about a profile you can post a query on UKP and if someone has seen the girl they will get share their knowledge with you. 

I have never spoken to anyone face to face about my punting, but since signing up to UKP I have people willing to give me advice for the first time ever. In the old days you felt you had struck lucky if you had a good punt as every newbie was a complete stab in the dark.  Nowadays, unless one decides to TOFTT (as is our civic duty to occasionally do), with careful research the chances of a good punt are vastly increased.  The only problem now is that with reading these pages and browsing AW I am consequently punting much more than I did in my thirties.

I was there 5 years ago, visited a parlour on the back of a couple of good reviews on the girl and found a regular. Stuck with her since. In contrast to the norm, service level has remained high, in fact got better as we got to know each other's likes. I'm lucky - I could still have been doing the 5 punts / 1 good one routine.

I think it's all to do with the quality of the available girls. I go through stages where I feel like it's not worth continuing and then you meet the odd gem who gets you excited all over again. They keep me going!

I think I am suffering from a glut of punting. Either that or my libido has reached the pipe-and-slippers stage. Sex in and of itself is just becoming less and less interesting to me. I guess as you get older lust wanes and you want desire instead: and for desire to happen, the whole person has to be involved. i do find myself thinking I just cannot be bothered quite often - as others have said it can get dull and the appetite falls.

However at the moment I am feeling quite excited by the punting scene, I think there have been a few good punts with new (for me) girls and my regulars have delivered some new experiences.

I do wonder whether next time I am getting fed up with it I might take a break for perhaps 3 months and see if that gets the appetite back.

The more you punt, the less exciting it becomes and the excitement is part of the fun for me so yes, over time, the enjoyment does diminish in that regard.

However, the more you punt the more you know what you like/want/how to spot scams/how to spot bad attitude/etc. so the enjoyment also improves with time.

My punting experience has changed over the years. For better or worse? Neither really, just different, but overall still enjoyable. When it ceases to become enjoyable I'll stop doing it.

I don't think you can criticise others after making the most cringe-worthy, creepy statement I have ever read here on UKPunting. Over 4,000 AW girls in London and only Michelle was good enough. I think they call that EAS.

This definitely applies to me although for a slightly different reason. It could be due to a decreasing libido but once I've seen a girl on the rare occasions I have a second or third pop on her I never have as much fun. In fact I have erectile problems.

I'm not sure whether I need the blue pill or whether having so many women to pick from my libido maximises when with a new partner.

I wish it wasn't the case as it is a costly issue to suffer from time wise as so many hours are spent searching for a good punt.
