Happened to me years ago in the pre-internet dating era.
I met an attractive lady through a newspaper lonely hearts add.
After we had chatted together in a nice bar, she suggested that we should go to bed and I could pay her some money.
I was pretty angry at this, because the date had been genuine as far as I was concerned. But rather than storming out in anger, I decided to continue with the conversation with her in the bar (she was interesting to talk to) but refused her offer of paid for services.
So she had a wasted evening and I had an evening of mostly pleasant chat with an attractive lady. I think I got more out of the evening than she did, and that was good enough revenge for her deceit.
