Again, why don’t you ask him. He got out of it.
He obviously came up with something to satisfy all.

Me too! And store sin separately

Is that just until you can get to a confessional?

I keep a quicklink to DDGo partly to compare results when Google seems to have an agenda, but also for convenience. If you clear your cache (manually or automatically) then try to use YouTube it asks you to sign on, same for Google if you leave it unlogged in for a while. Rather than keying in bloodly passwords it's quicker to go to DuckDuckGo.

dual sim phone.. they allow for individual sims to operate simultaneously or one by one. Less messy with worrying about punting phone being misplaced.

What happens to cloud files when nobody goes back for them (you die, or  just loose interest). how long will that stuff be there - wherever 'there' is?

There's probably a measureable amount of energy being used to run some computer somewhere with stuff on that nobody's ever going to go back for........

"More than 50m tracks from 14 million artists have been lost, including songs that led to the rise of the “Myspace Generation” cohort of artists, such as Lily Allen, Arctic Monkeys and Yeasayer."
Never heard of Yeasayer , was he related to Leo  :sarcastic:  but losing everything by Lily Allen and Artic Monkeys sounds like a massively positive result

The first thing I do post punt is delete everything on the phone which I keep in the car glove box. I keep it without a battery in and it looks grubby lol no one ever questions it as they know I hang onto stuff for ages .

I don't do much these days away from a couple of regulars and one I use my normal phone. I use a false name in there and any messages are deleted immediately its usually a phone to arrange a day and time,  no reason unless either of us cancel/ postpone etc . The punting phone will be retired soon I think as I am becoming less and less likely to go for odd punts.

More or less my situation too. My punting phone is an ages old BlackBerry Curve that no one would give house room to these days. It hasn't seen much action since March, and probably won't get turned on much before the end of the year. I suppose the same could be said for me.

Offline sub_marine

It was locked with a password

That was your get out of jail free card right there, why would you know your daughters unlock code, you should have just said that she must have put a code in, or the phone locked itself after not being used for so many years, or just tried 10 wrong codes so that it locked itself properly, you've opened youself right up to be scrutinised for the next few months by the wife, and she will never forget that phone.  Another thing didnt your daughter question why it had a different SIM card installed and had credit in it, I assume she would have transferred her original SIM to her next phone?

Offline Milfman1112

Still wouldnt explain why its been kept charged

Offline Doc Holliday

He hasn't logged in since his last post on 24th so perhaps his missus has confronted him after his daughter's neurones finally bridged the synapse  :D

... or I could just be right that the story was made up?

From 2018

Its not disposable so a bit off topic but I use an old iphone 4 which was lying unused in a drawer factory reset with all data turned off. I have also set up an sim only account with virgin (using free email account specially set up for punting with protonmail which is encrypted both ends and notifies me thru work email whenever I have a communication from AW), for 6 pounds a month for unlimited texts and more call time than I'd ever need so I don't have to worry about money running while in a call which happened to me when I had a payg sim. Phone kept in drawer at work with all contacts etc wiped after each meet.
Works well for me.

Personally I don't particularly see the OP as lying? But who knows! He may have decided to change the place where he stores the phone, who knows?

It does seem a bit strange to have an account with Virgin for a punting phone, unlike PSYG a sim only account has to be registered. I've got three, all with set allowances and paid monthly.    :unknown:

I wish everyone whose married and bored of sex with their partner would just tell them and not worry. Most have affairs or go with escorts or sugar babies.

Perhaps too many years on punting forums has made me more cynical than you.  :D

I would describe his account of what happened as too convoluted and overcomplicated. As I said earlier there will be an event which has triggered the post but I feel it is has been 'over embroidered"?

Offline contentguy

You're not worried that your daughter found you had sequestered her old phone without asking, kept it charged up and operational and then hidden it?

Fair enough.

Exactly, also how would you explain why you changed the password.  And if you hadn't......

Umm .. go and post that on the erstwhile Mumsnet site and see the results;!!!

No need. They’ll be reading this anyway. There are characters, feminazis, who collect and offer tips based on what they read... “see if he has an old phone without a battery in the glove compartmemt.”

Really. And how exactly would you propose that a member whose wife reads MN deletes this thread??

Offline Matrix2718

Your story is very specific and after the last linked UKP and Mumsnet drama I'd definitely be careful especially if your wife is on MN!

Prob should move this thread to Off-topic or delete it maybe.

The way things escalated with that thread recently was sad to see.

How can I find this thread? Sounds interesting.
