Two reasons.
The first is it is the newest PDE5 inhibitor drug. Released 20 years after the other three and designed to be an improvement on the others.
The other bigger reason is it is the only full dose tablet available in the list (100mg of it). The rest were all half doses; 10mg of Cialis and Levitra, 50mg of Viagra. The full doeses for them are 20mg and 100mg.
That means you can either be sure the Stedra will work by taking the whole tablet. Or easily cut it in half however you want to play it. But you cannot cut the other tablets in half (well obviously you can but I wouldn't risk it that they will still work as well).
This did not happen with me, it was only 4 tablets he was prepared to prescribe on a private prescription.
The "full" dose of Spedra (avanafil) is 200mg
I have had most forms of erectile dysfunction medication, on private prescription, over the counter (Tesco, Superdrug etc), and from internet pharmacy, all have a very similar effect, I use all of them at the "middle" dosage, this is how they worked for me!
Viagra (sildenafil) - 25, 50, 100mg - Works quite slowly 60 min or so, good for about 4 hours
Cialis (tadalafil) - 5, 10, 20mg - Works a bit quicker 45 min or so, good for more than a day (The 5mg can be taken once a day to provide constant effect, but did not work too well for me)
Levitra (vardenafil) - 5, 10, 20mg - Works quite quickly 30-45 min, good for about 5 hours
Spedra (avanafil) - 50, 100, 200mg - Works the quickest 15 min, good for about 5 hours (But I only used this a few times, so can't be certain)
There are some that you inject, and give you a hard on for about an hour without any sexual stimulation but I have not tried these
None of the tablets will give you a hard on, they just make it easier to get one WITH sexual stimulation
All 4 gave me similar side-effects, flushed face/back (about 25% of the time), stuffy nose, and occasionally indigestion/heartburn - all of these last a couple of hours.
The lower doses do not work as well, the higher doses are a waste as there is no difference in effect
I have tried a number of generic varieties and they work 100% the same as branded
If I could get them on NHS prescription I would go for Spedra as it works the fastest (But it did seem to give me stronger side-effects, cant be sure as I only had 4 tablets and thats not enough to tell), failing that I would go for Levitra.
As I can not get an NHS prescription I go for a generic Viagra - sildenafil from an internet pharmacy, simply on price.
I have been using ED drugs for about 10 years as I have a prostate problem and this is how they work for me, you may not be the same
