new photo banner

I notice that when I log in today there is a photo banner on the website which is not condusive to discrete browsing.  Can this banner be switched off?

It's a bit like trying to work out if the fridge light stays on when the door is shut...

Once you're logged in, it disappears - so when you go looking again it is not there. It's still there if you are not logged in.

The cross site advertising worked on me - I took a trip to UKE on the strength of it.

For it not to show you need to be logged in and have more than 100 posts.

Like this site they are also 100% free, UKEscorting offering free advertising with no money taken from anyone for any reason (no donations either).

The text links to PuntingWiki plastered all over this site over the past 2 years has resulted in PuntingWiki averaging just under 100,000 visitors per month.
The intention with the new image banners to UKEscorting is the same - using the large amount of visitors to this site to boost UKEscorting. So far in the 24 hours the banner has been up it's increased UKEscorting traffic by 150%.

I did say when I created UKE (nearly a year ago) that I would be plastering links to it all over this site.

I have slowed on UKE myself lately as am very busy but UKE is a good site, it would be foolish not to use the established repuatation and strength of this site to promote traffic to it.
I reckon most guys from here should at least check it out, it gives a different approach to WG and Punter relationships

I have never really looked at UKE. Since they are linked and owned by admin, will my user name and password work on UKE as well as on here?

As far i know you need to start a profile on there first and if no one has took it you can use the name you have on here. Thats what i did just so no one can use my name on there.Also good to have a look now and then but i like this site more.

You'll have to wait for upcoming option to hide both, PW links and UKE banner, although members with barely any posts or reviews will not get the option, unsure of exact the minimum criteria will be to get the option to hide.

I'll likely do the same as UKE itself, banner of pics at the top if you're logged out, at bottom if you're logged in.

Each time I log on to UKP, I start fresh in Firefox, so the pics are displayed until I have logged in. Is there a way out?

Probably because from what I've seen, the majority of WG on there are based in the NE.

I am not keen on the new banners.

Viewing UKP is a daily essential whereas UKE is something I view occasionally.

The essential daily viewing of UKP will become less if I cannot view it discreetly with the banners on full view.

Not a complaint.

Neither the top or bottom banners show for your account, stay logged in and not browse as guest.

The banners are no worse than the explicit pics embedded inside posts and threads, which have existed since this site was created, and can appear in any thread, I could have embedded a hardcore pic right in this post and it would come without warning while scrolling down the page. An adult site shouldn't have to cater to those who want to browse at their workplace or next to their wife or on the train in rush hour.

While there will eventually be an option for members to hide the banners (if they have enough posts in the preceding 30 days), guests without an account contribute zero and I care little about so will soon have to deal with even more links to UKP & PW than just the current banners.

The positives from pushing traffic to UKE and the subsequent growth it will have outweighs those affected by the new banners.

Just thought I would give my take on it.

Who am I to complain about a free site anyway that has Improved my punting experience no end.
