I was slightly surprised earlier today to see a Google advert for Ashley Madison saying:

'Sick of using UK Punting - Lonely Wives Want to Have Affairs.'

I guess it is a testament to UKP's success that it is being targeted in this manner by Ashley Madison.

Maybe UKP could respond by saying: Tired of having your confidential details haemorrhaged - try UKP....

Maybe its one of these dynamic adverts that pick up the name of the last adult site you visited before seeing the advert and changed the wording.

You know Google like their data mining

Could be.  Just never seen it before, so was a little surprised.

How weird.  Don't they realise that UKpunting isn't actually an escort site?  Nobody books escorts through UKP, it would make more sense to name Adultwork.  And I'm sure the reason many married guys end up using AW is because Ashley Madison is a waste of time and money, like all the other "adult dating" sites out there.

"Sick of actually meeting and shagging hot women?  Try throwing your money away on our fake profiles and timewasters and get nowhere instead!  Plus the added excitement of letting your wife know exactly what you're trying to do.  All the drawbacks of having an affair, but without the sex!  At least you won't be picking up any STI's if you use us".

I have seen "fed up with awork have an affair" or words to that effect before, absolutely no chance punting is much cheaper!

Probable that a number of selected ip addresses, such as UKP and other adult sites have been added to the database of the ad campaign. Thus after visiting one of these ips, it flags an appropriate ad on the landing page of Maddison if you havent used private browsing or cleared cookies/cache etc
Could just as easy say, "POF", "MATCH" or whatever,

For the price of the membership that allows you to talk to other women, you could have a few hours with a really good WG without the fuss of having to arrange things! Why do they charge so much?!?!?!?

+1 to this - would probably spend more time looking at civvy shit but all these sites are more expensive and no guarantee of jack shit!

At the risk of stating the obvious, anyone who is attached should clear their cookies and browser history. Otherwise your missus will probably get served this ad the next time they go online.

I thought AM was pretty much a scam anyway? There were about 1000 guys for every real woman on there.

In theory one site cannot access the cookies left by another site. There are exploits that might get around this but if you're unpatched you have bigger concerns.

This is more likely the "referrer" where a new site gets information about your previous site visited but this should only work if you followed a link. I suppose a link in an advert would pass the same information.
