Canary Warf is an easy place to get lost. I was following directions from PLeisure about the tube exit but got the DLR for the first time so took the wrong turning. Ended up at the roundabout of lost punters with my phone GPS telling me to walk around it again near 2 cops stopping random cars. One walked over with a grin and asked me if I needed help. He pointed me in the right direction and theatrically asked me if I “needed anything else”. I was already getting texts from P about where I was and her tight schedule. Arrived outside the hotel 10 minutes late, got her room number, 2nd floor, walked in and stupidly took the stairs to the 1st floor blocked by a workman with ladders and stuff. He smiled like the cop and walked me along the corridor to the lifts. He must meet a lot of lost blokes.
