Whether you look like George Clooney or Marty Feldman I wouldn't worry. Pay the money and join SA. Create a simple message saying you are interested in meeting for some fun then copy/paste it and send it to any girls that interest you.

If your an average guy on FabSwingers then you will only get desperate and bbw women who cant get laid by normal means or swingers in the late 50s-60s... a lot of fake profiles and time wasters and wannabees

Funny you should mention the fun to be had on fabswingers....

Fabswingers is not far off a price of a pint at £5 for about 58 days which you can do by text so not exactly going to break the bank...
