) they'd surely contact the cop (or even his superiors) rather than just print the story in their usual sanctimonious way, while pandering to the salacious desires of their readers (I use the term loosely).
The Sun is still full of shit, just it always was. It cannot change its MO, which is cater to the baser instincts of its buyers, while masquerading as a pillar of the establishment. You only have to look at the whitewash which was the Leveson Enquiry.
