Author Topic: Adult Work Account Hacked but don't know how  (Read 625 times)

Just received email from AW informing me that my user name and password had been changed. I'd been on the site myself at the time stated in the email and I know that I had accidentally clicked on to my profile page but I didn't do anything there and went back to the escorts page immediately. At no time did I change my user name or password so I'm not sure if I've been hacked or what.
I hadn't received any suspicious emails asking me to click on links either.
I'm a bit puzzled to be honest how this has happened.
Any thoughts or comments?

Were you using a shared device that someone else might have also used to access AW or maybe a shared public WiFi connection that freaked them out?

Hi Gordon it was my computer at home and I'm pretty careful about security.

the email from AW that told you it has changes is probably a phishing email.

I suppose you've checked the obvious, seeing if your old username/password still gets you in?

If so, it's either a phishing scam or an AW bug.  I get a few of those, but saying that I'm logging in from a new device when I'm not.
