I've always done 1 hour bookings but from now on, any newbies where there's any uncertainty will only get a half hour. You can always go back if she's good (or extend while you're there) and as you say, if shes crap, you'll save yourself £40-50 or so, which will ease the pain.

I see them as totally different punts so it depends on what I am after.

30 mins - one round of oral followed by sex and usually have a wank before setting off. Not sure your reasoning for 30 mins vs 1 hour is entirely sound. 

In my experience risk of a bad punt is only reduced by thorough research.  A short bad punt is still a bad punt!  Surely that's the whole point of this site - to help you find WG's that offer a good service?  I've only had 3 genuinely bad punts out of over 20 - and all three were from not doing thorough research first.

Also the overall cost per minute is usually higher for 30 mins.  E.g. External Link/Members Only £80 per 30 mins = £2.66 per min vs £110 per hour = £1.83 per min.

I know it's not always the case but generally the longer the booking the better value for money - which is one of the reasons I go for 2 hour bookings.

I'd agree. Most WG's charge a premium for the half hour. A tenner premium for the half hour is the most I'd pay. So £60/£100 or £70/£120 and I'd go for the half hour. Once we get to £80/£110, you might as well have the hour.

Having tried varying length punts i require a minimum of an hour to do what i want to do nowadays. I literally wouldnt get out of bed to go for a half hour punt, if i were a one pop punter i probably would stick to half hours though.
