I don’t want to say too much as I have heard on more than one occasion that “what happens in the Axe should stay in the Axe” but I hear you. I to found out the hard way that there is no bog roll in the gents and never is......

I was going there regularly for a fair while and have to say there are some great girls in there and some terrible ones too in terms of dancing and attitude. I have never been in the Axe in the evening though.

Trying not to spend too much in the Axe can be difficult at times. I have spent a serious amount of money in there on more than one occasion but it was I was happy to spend it. Some might make the argument that you can punt for much less than that but I haven’t really got into the punting game just yet as I get too nervous but I did find going to the Axe was a good build up to start punting. When it re-opens I will be taking a much needed trip there and then hopefully get started in the punting game

I'd say go for a punt instead but also try not to get carried away of spending all your disposable income on it as punting can be quite addictive. The most I've probably spent in one night at the axe is around £100, also getting a dance for a mate too. They do have some absolute banging girls in there but after a dance it always has me wanting more than that and this is where punting is better. If I go to the axe now it's one dance and a drink that's it.

For me going to the Axe, Browns etc is just another part of the night out when I'm working away. I always set myself a budget, never have a private dance anywhere but the Axe and have a punt planned in somewhere reasonably local.

The axe has always been good. They had a no bags policy in early 2020 which was a major issue. You can leave your bags in the doorway which was risky

Never had the bag issue at the axe. Went once in shorts and tennis bag, not a problem. Might have been before 2020 though.

I remember the doorman at The Axe refusing entry to one guy because he was wearing shorts.I can't remember when it was exactly,but I would say it was about 2 years ago.
And I'm fairly sure I read something,maybe it was on this thread,about The Axe not letting men wearing shorts in.
I'm not sure if that rule still applies now

Think it could do more with the time of day, so myself, it would be two years ago, I was in the Axe, and in shorts

I was in the Axe, mid-day around 2pm, so guessing maybe come the evening time, shorts wouldn't be appropriate, so something more formal required

I can remember him as well. I think he used to run a web site that advertised which pubs strippers were at. I think becasue of this he expected freebies or special attention at the private strip parties.

He was fairly pally with a number of the strippers but there were also ones who could not stand him. Canadian Max who used to run Olympia Moments parties was one, i believe.

Yes, I'd forgotten the website! I think the latter was far more common than the former, the expectation from him and the kilt being the reasons!
