This is a punting forum but we welcome prοssies especially if they contribute something useful for punters.

They’re also welcome to lurk (maybe they can also learn something, who knows, if they find something that a lot of punters consider poor service — bad hand jobs being a recent example — they might do something about it, even if it is only discussing how to improve among themselves). But as it is indeed a punting forum, we don’t welcome prοssies who come on here to run down punters, tout or disrupt the this of the board — they have their own forum  for that.

It’s called Saafe.

Now I don’t think I have ever in my life been rude to a prοssie during a booking or during the comms, and that’s over hundreds of punts. I don’t think I’ve ever posted on Saafe. Some prοssies of course like to complain if they get a bad review, but that is surely a reason to improve their game rather than attack punters. They shouldn’t stand for rudeness during a punt and of course should always report any incidents of criminality, as we also do here. They may not like our locker room chat on here, or the roasting we give them when they abuse the privilege of membership here, but the rules are clear (and it’s rarely anything personal, at least from myself). One of the reasons I don’t look on Saafe very often is I get very quickly bored by their wittering, but that’s fine — they’re entitled to chat among themselves.

What surprises me is their shitty attitude to anyone having a look. How would prοssies feel if they logged on to UKP and saw message like this:

Honestly dearies, even if you wanted to ban punters completely, a big rude notice on your front window is hardly endearing. Can you imagine a John Lewis staff room that had a notice outside saying, “Fuck off customers with your shitty attitude, this is a staff room!”

(By the way, it’s childsplay to read your blather forum anyway, so if you must be publicly rude you’re not only biting the hand that feeds you and making yourselves look bad, but hardly accomplishing the aim of keeping punters out.) If it’s a ban it makes fuck all difference, so why get yourselves into a lather??

Saafe used to be run by quite a moderate, sensible woman so maybe they will take note.

For us punters, I think we have to think kindly about it. Their brains are wired differently and it seems they’re maybe more subject to hissy fits than men. But remember they’re not only made of “sugar and spice and all things nice”.

When i found ukp  and SAAFE i signed up to both, i had the train of thought that SAAFE would be full of escorts advertising their wares.

Stupid i know now, but after a while i got the same banned message.
Fire up TOR browser and i could read away to my hearts content, about 5 minutes and i was done reading.
Nothing much from the punters side of it but if you end up on their dangerous punters list you have no way of putting your side of the story on there.

I'm sure i'll survive the embarrassment of being banned from there.

I find it interesting that the change of ownership here has led to a slight 'softening' of attitudes and stance over punting (signalled by lots of bannings recently).

Contrast that with (apparently) a hardening of the hags' resolve over on the site on the other side of the fence.

Probably another consequence of the of the vast overreaction of #MeToo into #MeMeMe.

You have to remember that the forum is likely only run by one or two people like this forum.
So the person who banned Marmalade is likely to be a sensitive cunt, however that is not to say all members are.

They probably haven’t a clue of the ban or the messages they post with the ban.

WGs have profile’s here for advertising. There’s even a Saafe post or two recommending escorts sign up and make nominal background posts. The more decent minded ones give something back by putting themselves in the shoes of punters. There’s several that have given useful input so I think they pay their way as it were. Or there’s ones like ER who just practice being cute and not saying too much. But the bottom line is, this is the most viewed site for people looking for escorts, so if you’re an escort and wise enough to come as a visitor and stay carefully within the rules and not get phased by man talk, you’re quids in.

If you sign out of UKP, clear your cookies and stuff, or just tunnel in, you can read their twaddle easily enough. It’s just the rudeness that gets me. I’ve never even posted on there so the only way they could take offence at me personally is coming on here as a guest and then abusing the privilege. If they would rather I didn’t read the shite they write they could just ask me nicely.

I can’t speak for anyone else on here but I have no personal ax to grind against anyone, prοssie or punter. Never having posted on Saafe there’s no way I could have a ‘shitty attitude’ on their forum. I think I’ve only looked on Saafe maybe a dozen times since it’s been running so I’m really not that bothered. But it does suggest to me the old saying that there’s something mentally wrong with most prοssies to be in the job anyway. If UKP bans a prοssie it’s for a good reason and related to what they’ve said on here or to Admin. It seems Saafe are really not up to speed on the proper way to run a forum.

Perhaps they’ll learn. 

In the meantime, take it as a reminder: no matter how sweet a prοssie seems, it’s probably better never to trust her completely in case she starts being a right cunt.

I'm a bit confused about how you have gotten yourself banned from Saafe Marmalade. Sounds like a few others posting on this thread are too.

I've access the site in the past without creating any sort of login. I've just checked and as far as I can see I can still access most of the boards and read posts in the same way I used to. Presumably I show up somewhere on their system as a guest.

It sounds like you are saying you don't have a login either, but you are now getting that message whenever you try to access any of the pages on their site. The banning message says "Sorry guest", so that would fit in with that too.

Is it possible that you are trying to access Saafe with a VPN switched on? And like UKP they don't allow access via VPN's?

Or alternatively they have flagged your IP address for some reason? In what I assume is much the same way Admin uses IP addresses to identify if someone is using multiple account logins for UKP?

Edit: (Although, saying that I believe most people usually have dynamic IP addresses which change regularly. I'm not too familiar with a lot of tech stuff.)

Not aware of this saafe website until now. I must admit I found some of the postings interesting. Seem's you don't have to be a member to look at it. The layout of the website is almost a carbon copy of this one. Interesting to see how service providers view us punters. I think they do raise some valid points. It just goes to show they are very much like us when we like to have a good moan and bitch. Just as there are bad service providers out there they probably have just as many bad , crazy or weird clients.

Of course, I'm not naive enough to not realise that WGs being on here brings awareness of them. Some use another name but of course a little digging would reveal who they are, and they know that.

But as I highlighted above in your quote, some do indeed bring a different perspective to punting and actually add something to UKP, stuff like medical issues and why WGs do some of the things they do. They also explain some of the seemingly irrational shit that WGs do, and some even call out how needlessly irrational some of that shit is  .

As for the 'welcome message' to UKPers, I wonder whether this is because SAAFE knows when you're logged on to UKP because they're open in the same browser? I generally use a Private Window in Firefox, perhaps that's why I don't get it?

I forgot to mention about Rebecca, although she may not seem as erudite as some WGs on UKP, she does nevertheless provide the occasional light relief and entertainment, especially when crossing swords with certain other WGs leading to a meltdown worthy of several bags of popcorn

Yes, and the pointlessly negative stuff can appear here sometimes too. It's to be expected, SAAFE and UKP are literally in opposite camps, existing solely for the benefit of their members, and in amongst the useful stuff occasionally some grumpy shit gets posted (I include myself in that).

And it is exactly for the reason in your second point, that UKP exists. Amen to that  .

Or, at that moment he was using a dynamic IP that once belonged to a banned SAAFE user. It sometimes happens in Android phones.

Something else that just occurred to me is that Saafe could potential work out which guests are likely to be punters due to where the link they used came from.

When someone clicks a link to a website that site can recognise where the traffic has been directed from. So you click a google link to Saafe they can see that you were directed via google. Presumably if one us clicks a link to saafe held in a UKP posting, (like the one posted earlier) they can see that you came to that page from UKP. Which they could then use to identify the IP address of some punters browsing their site?

However, the message "This is not a punting forum. Take your single brain cell and shitty attitude elsewhere." sounds like a personal message. Implying they know it's marmalade, they've taken offense at something he's said and the comment is directed at him personally.

If that is a general message used for any punters they discover on their site, or it's how they feel about all punters, it makes you wonder how they can interact daily with people that they have such loathing for. If it's a message directed generally at members of UKP it's very hypocritical coming from a site with a very similar ethos, only for WG's rather than punters.

I got into it with no problem from the link above (in a Marmalade post), came out and have been able to get back in without being blocked.

Never looked at it before and can't say there was much there to make me want to again. Some interesting points made about I am Kirsty prog though. Thought someone on here might have mentioned it.

It is intriguing and the above is a possible logical explanation but I just cannot see our canny Scottish member, who from his posts is clearly very security savvy, not having his IP address covered? I just checked and the forum allows VPN access.

This is certainly targeted at known punters and I feel sure he must have registered an account at some point which is playing some role in it, although the screenshot appears to show he is not logged in when receiving the message?
