I think the huge push for women becoming WGs was the TV series and books based on Belle du Jour, making it appear glamorous. What changed is tawdry documentaries making it appear sleazy. Most indie prossies I have met are council estate scrubbers - sad, but true. Pretty much this. In the 70s I'm sure loads of kids wanted to be David Bowie or David Essex, now they want to be someone off TOWIE or Kim Kardashian.

Most of these so called celebraties such as big brother contestants and retards like that, they are all flash in the pan, 6 months after becoming so called celebraties they are back working in poundland.  But the media just turns to the next name to promote.

I don't think it's so much the celebrity lifestyle, for some of them it will be their upbringing.

Nowadays youngsters are expected to earn less than their parents on the whole. And that is without inflation etc.

So if mummy and daddy got nice jobs full time jobs, they'll have been bought shit tons of crap worth hundreds over their childhood, probably had a car for her 17th birthday, but once school/uni whatever is done a lot of them won't be able to afford that lifestyle they had because they'll be single young women so the only way to get the money to buy nice shoes and handbags is to whore their body out.

I think the 50 shades book series has helped the likes of SA enormously as well - as well as their own well promoted propaganda. Giving deluded girls this glorified idea of what the reality is - exceptionally wealthy, successful handsome men don't really need to use dating apps as the women tend to find them on their own pretty easily.
