Im not interested in a way around lockdown. Punting could be the highest risk activity for transfer of infection. Not only do I not want to catch this virus, I could not forgive myself if I infected someone more vulnerable. Isolation within the lockdown rules for me until we get a cure/vaccine.

Agreed, MtB. It's the risk of transmission that's killed it.

A vaccine could be years away, and I wonder if testing kits might give us a way back. If the boffins can develop a kit that produces a result in minutes, rather than days - not beyond the realms of possibility, I'd have thought - then I can well imagine the receptionists at my favourite parlours testing customers on arrival. They could become a routine part of punting kit, like cock-pills and condoms. Then again, perhaps I'm just desperately looking for something to be optimistic about.

Completely agree. It's strange that most punters and WGs see the reason in wearing condoms to manage the risk of infection from STIs, yet don't apply the same logic to a virulent virus with the associated risks and impact of this one.

I understand the frustration of sexual and physical intimacy, and the other factors men derive from punting, but it's really not worth the risks. I'm resigned to not punting again this year, and into next if that proves necessary.

I am trying not to judge WGs who are working as I don’t know their circumstances; how they might pay for their home / food / dependents etc during an extended lockdown. In fact I would have sympathy if they felt they had no alternative but to work. Most will be younger women at lower personal risk.

Protecting ourselves from Corvid-19, as with STIs, is personal responsibility. A responsibility also towards those who we do have contact with and to those key workers who are daily exposed to the virus. So I won’t be punting for the foreseeable future. That is my choice and I hope that you all stay safe during this epidemic.

I agree MTB, do have sympathy with those who have no choice but to work. A WG on my HL (not East Midlands) stopped escorting with the lockdown and was very against it, but now has posted dates where she'll return to "physical meets." Personally I won't be taking her up on that offer as under the current Covid-19 climate, I believe that's irresponsible. However, the available slots are being booked up fast by punters which is worse IMO.

Before you ask, no I'm not posting the AW link. That will just advertise the punting opportunity for those currently seeking it, or trolls to send her nasty messages. I'm not promoting either.

Also agree with MTB. Can judge SPs all we like but without knowing circumstances who knows what we'd do in their place. There's also something called 'supply and demand' - there's obviously enough people looking to punt for SPs still to be working. I also saw in one news report about an 'underground network of hairdressers' for people still wanting to get their hair done and/or cut with people on there saying they thought that was acceptable!

Will try not to be too judgemental of people punting at this time although not something I've done or have any interest in doing until safer. However, when they post comments or reviews that try to justify their actions or demonstrate a sense of entitlement or want to argue that they've done nothing wrong then I do think they deserve the flak. For me they display the same sort of arrogance and importance that says they can park in a disabled bay (when not disabled) because it's closer to the shops and they don't want to walk, drop their KFC and McDonald wrappers as there's always someone else to pick it up or - and I realise this is now me on a rant - talk on their mobile in a quiet carriage.

There were a few that I wanted to see right before lockdown but profiles have now gone down/they've changed areas and for the life of me remember their names.  The ones I do remember are LaceyTaste (External Link/Members Only) - for some reason I just want to have a go on her if/when she's back.  Also Sash Cummings (External Link/Members Only) given the recent review.  This is all subject to how everything goes given the situation right now, I do think it is going to be one of the easiest ways to pick an infection up but looking on the brighter side of it, having done/still doing my bit to minimise risks.

That said, I've managed to make my other half become incredibly slutty and do more or less whatever I want now so my actual *want* to punt is far less.  We will see whether she gets fed up/bored though
