I have said countless times there are some very strange people of both genders in this business.
It is hardly surprising.
For a start many prossies are fucked in the head, and even if they aren't to start with, this business fucks them up if they stay in it too long.
Then on the male side there are the pimps, who are pretty much criminals with the immoralilty that implies. Besides them you get the white knight fluffies who if they get it bad for a prossiy will think nothing of doing over another punter. In some ways these twats are even worse than the pimps. On top of these are the simple fruit loops who will fuck with people just for the fun of it. We have had a number of them on UKP.

Pre UKP I had a 'stalker' from another board who pretended to be a prossy just to get my confidence. Having done so and secured my number I was then harrassed for a number of days by some male nut job threatening me on the phone. Around the same time a punter I had met several times who had a load of reviews on another forum was outed by either the same nutter or another one who revealed to a prestigious club my friend was a member of his punting activities. Why he did this to a decent bloke I have no idea. However if it was to get rid of my friend's reviews he succeeded as he withdrew them all.
I have also heard several other alarming stories over the years of my involvement in this business. One prossy on an outcall to a punter's house took his car keys and crashed his car into a wall, being one of the most memorable. Why she did this I never found out. Maybe the drugs had just kicked in or stopped working.
Then the earlier members of UKP will recall the shenanigans when Lou4Fun outed a punter. She was another who tried to win my confidence.

Although there is no ecxuse for such cuntish behaviour, in many cases people have brought it on themselves by being too naive and trusting.
The motto is do not trust anyone in this business.

I think the main things for a reader are to know the information is current, that at least some of it is useful. Putting the exact time and date is dodgy as it means in most cases you can be identified too easily (unless you don’t care).

It’s occasionally helpful to have a rough idea — for instance, many prossies don’t work mornings, very late nights or after midnight and quite a few can’t be arsed working weekends. Getting to a location at rush hour can pose problems if the actual punt was early afternoon. So basically I’d say don’t change relevant details (‘relevant’ being ‘possibly relevant to another potential punter-customer’).

I'll be moving the notice to the PM section, and keep it there permanently to alert anyone when sending / reading PMs.
I'll also be adding notice on the PM section about other members (sometimes posing as newbies) wanting info on some WG when in fact they are stalkers of the prossie (or in fact the prossie herself or her boyfriend / pimp). I used to deal with dozens of such cases a month until I removed PM facility from new members.
I'll also be adding the image upload feature to PMs (like posts have) to remove yet another excuse for them to try (this one tried on me years ago, the file attachment sent to me on my email address was a virus trojan, something I wasn't surprised given I knew it was a troll using proxy IP).

On the subject of minimum criteria for PMs, as a trial I am both "relaxing" and tightening the threshold, this is the new policy:
- Members under X posts and less than Y months membership cannot send PMs to anyone, only reply to members who have already PM'ed them (exception is PMs to me).
- Members over X posts and more than Y months membership can send PMs to any member and that member will be able to reply to them.

Unsure on X and Y values at the moment.

On another site I have SMS verification in place, and I'll certainly be implementing this on UKP this year, targeting any account I find suspect, both manually and automatically if an account triggers certain things. Nothing a magic bullet of course.

Brilliant stuff from Admin. I am constantly impressed with his acumen and fair handling of the site.

For myself, I rarely do PMs. If someone is very polite and reasonably established as a member, I don't mind a simple one. I only say what I would say in the main board, which is advice without giving much or anything about myself away -- but they can be very time-consuming. I was eventually pretty short with a decent guy last year who had asked me about stuff in some country and I spent half an hour maybe writing a detailed reply. (It was a reasonable question, I don't mean stuff where people ask for tips and the answers are on the bloody board anyway.) Then some months later he came back wanting to ask further questions. If he had been in a position to help me similarly it might have been different but I'm not a yellow pages and neither is UKP.

Now the thing is, if it is of benefit to punters, it is potentially of benefit to all punters. If someone asks a question that needs a long answer then someone else asks me almost the same question a week later then that is another half hour just for one individual. Not efficient. The only reason in my opinion for a PM (other than a quick one-liner of helpfulness or a joke) is if there is some info that would either clog up the main forum or else stuff that should be temporarily held back from all-and-sundry. I include tipping off an established contributor (someone I find helpful for instance) about a prossie I haven't finished shagging and would like to shag again for a week or two before the hordes fill her diary and up her prices. Or stuff that is likely to cause arguments on the main board (Can't think of anything but technical medical data on things like viagra might sometimes be in that category).

This is not a social forum where we hang out to measure our dicks. It's a forum to help other punters get value for money and good punts rather than bad punts. I enjoy the general camaraderie as much as anyone. There are people on here who are like trusted colleagues or people I respect.

But if you need a friend, get a dog.

There's a member who got outed to his wife just recently, he says he doesn't believe someone maliciously tipped her off but I'm not certain, I got this gut feeling.

Of all the PMs being reported to me, while some look innocent and not worthy of me stripping their PM facility, others are strange and I have done so (just to be safe), but others are definitely bad and are on my "watchlist" to see what else they do before I ban them. I've been sent screenshots from one and awaiting screenshots from another, including apparently prossie admitting which UKP member was responsible to help her find out his AW account (done via questioning him about the punt using PM facility), but I need to keep in mind if these two members have 'bad blood' between them and he is trying to get the other member in trouble.

There's something else reported to me of concern - "threesome" / MMF requests. In this incident the person asking looks to trying to find the identity of this punter (or worse) by meeting him face to face and luring him with very cheap deal for a 1hr punt that he claimed to have secured with the WG. This member should not have had PM facility yet met the previous poor criteria I set. He has multiple banned accounts and may even be still here with a new account. Was never reported to me until now.

I'm quite naturally paranoid so suspected something, and turned out right at the end. Reading Admin's post it's a sorry state of affairs really but this is a murky world that we dip our toes (amongst other things  ) into.

I've just taken a quick look through all my inbox PM's from the last year to double check anything dodgy and it may be worth others doing the same just in case anything stands out which can be reported to Admin.

Also as a general most punters are probably fairly guarded on UKP but may well drop their guard a bit if they use UKE, by it's very nature it's a bit more social media "talkie talkie" getting to know you type contact so worth bearing in mind

Admin, thanks a lot for looking out for us: goes above and beyond running a website. I have had a couple of prossies trying to guess my AW username/physical description after a not so good review. Lizzy Wilde did it via PM in a very polite manner after my review. Ameera wrote me a wrathful rant...always tried to keep my AW out of bounds but some girls do guess after a review.

I agree quite a few guys put their real names on aw ids/twitter, burner phone whatsapp/imessages. For an outer it is a cakewalk if you're not being careful to severe all links with your real life. The one thing I am always leery of is hidden cams....most thai girls for eg have their laptops/ipads facing the bed with music on, but you never know if you are being recorded. I always always do a quick check for visible/poorly hidden cams and turn the laptop/ipad around.
