I am going to a sexual health clinic later in the week and I was wondering if i have a sexual transmitted infection would the clinic give me medication to treat it there and then? I am inpatient when it comes to my health. The last time i went to a sexual health clinic was way over a year ago which is way too long when one of my most loved hobbies is paying for escorts.   :hi:

and would i know the result of a chlamydia test for example on the same day of going to the clinic? I cant remember what happened last time.

Thanks guys.  :hi:

I've used the NHS to get checked out and the results are usually available after a week.

Result times can vary a famous, well respected GUM in London has results within the day, up here in the North it can vary from 14 days to quite recently a couple of days (thank you local facilities making improvements).

Of course you could phone the clinic and ask, or look at any website they may have.

The one I mention in London has a very informative website.

The GUM will arrange treatment as necessary their whole aim is to prevent the spread of infections, so I doubt they'll delay unnecessarily. I've also heard of some treatment being dispensed on the basis of symptoms, symptoms they consider likely not a sore patch or allergy reaction.

As ever the qualified staff will provide the best advice.

And well done for attending, many do not.

You may wish to request mouth swabs but be aware many Gums will only offer these to men who engage in oral with men, they consider the oral to women risk not high enough to justify the cost. I have heard of punters telling the GUM they do have oral sex with men to access the test - the urine or penile swabs and bloods don't cover the oral cavity which can harbour gonorrhea and chlamydia caught by OWO or (teeny risk) kissing.

Yes they can give you a presctiption if they feel the symptoms are clear and obvious but results usually take 7-14 days.

You know if youve got chlamydia because your piss will be like fire water!

Not necessarily some people are asymptomatic, when I had it years ago it was my cervix feeling sore during sex which brought it to my attention.

However of course everything goes through the same tube in a cock, so can understand why you'd feel it urinating.

My statement about being symptom less still stands, chlamydia can lurk undetected without testing.

I still use Dean Street Express in London, though it's much harder to get an appointment than it used to be. Results within 2-6 hours and I tell them that I suck cock so I get the throat swabs too. It's a really great service.

Think I'm right in saying Colston is in his 70s or 80s, so yes, an elder statesman of UKP.

But no, he's not the guy in the avatar, that'd make him over 200yrs old  :D

Yes, Dean St Express are brilliant. But do they actually do appts? I thought you just turned up. Don't they have another place across the street which is for appts?

Not been for some time, and it was quite a long wait then. Everyone has their heads buried in their phones for obvious reasons, but it was quite fun, spotting 2 or 3 WGs I knew, doing their (hopefully) monthly duty.

Depends on the clinic/council.

At my clinic (NHS) they do a culture test from a swab during the appointment if you say you have symptoms, are not sure, or simply just ask, and if it comes back positive with anything (Gonorrhoea, Chlamydia, or NSU) - takes around 20 mins while you wait, then they'll issue antibiotics on the spot.

Otherwise the urine (Gon&Chla) and blood samples (Siph&HIV) take between 2 to 5 workings days for the results at which point they'll text to tell you to come back for treatment/medicine if anything was positive. *

*simplistic summary.

I've never known dse to do appointments  :unknown: only seen others at counter where they booked follow ups

Walk in first in first served in my experience, join the queue 20 mins pre opening and you'll def get seen if you don't mind every civvy walking past assuming you love cock

It has, no exaggeration been like a village people line up on a couple occassions

Been there twice midday after I've had the "i have an std" text both times got the kit go to a cubicle, piss in the tube and swab my throat

No waiting, receptionist even helped swab throat

Never had any issues or massive waits but never been able to pre-book

My advice go, be polite, be a little effeminate (it does help) and you'll get sorted

Really nice team there just don't act the cunt

This

I'm completely at peace with every sexuality, might even book a ts at some point (thats got to be a little gay?) So i have no problem engaging with everyone regardless of sexuality, race, faith or gender

It helps in day to day life to be this way

Couldn't agree more.

It was more to do with my perception of you meaning that if you acted a little effeminate then you'd possibly be given a more thorough service by the clinic.

Precum leak can happen if your sexually aroused but it should generally be clear, coloured spontaneous discharge would usually indicat an std

I remember the first timw i noticed precum leak when being aroused, i freaked the fuck out because i hadn't even touched mini me and was just scoping through sone arousing images

Was down the gum shortly after, all clear but also got a big education on how the body works

It's all a learning process

Offline mradventures

oh yeah, think it was clear, or aleast not icky yellow or anything obivous

Probably pre cum, probably coincidence but a good coincidence if it got you tested and highlighted an std

Unless your one day symptomatic just test reguarly and it'll give you peice of mind

Don't wait till you think your symptomatic

Yes, they do appointments. You have to book a slot online and it's so hard to get one these days that the last time I got checked, I booked an appointment at the John Hunter Clinic. When booking online, I lied and said I had symptoms.
I got my results 3 days after visiting.

went to a sexual health clinic run by the NHS  and then got a text through two days ago to say that all the tests are all clear.
