Depends on your metabolism, but I still feel effects two or three days later.
FWIW I find it to be slower acting than sildenafil, best to take it early morning on an empty stomach, taking food a few hours later

FWIW my experience is the same, definitely lasts 2/3 days. Originally prescribed viagra by female gp but then a male gp said to try ciallis as he thought it was better, and in my case he was correct but remember as always YMMV.

Not sure of the relevance of stating the sex of the GP?

Overall I think Cialis scores highly. However whilst Tadalafil can be hugely beneficial to someone in a relationship (especially the 5mg daily dose), is its longer lasting efficacy into the next day actually beneficial to a punter? If you wake up the next day with a stiffy who sorts it out?  :D

Usually the Palm sisters or the wife in my case.

Hi Doc, apologies if this looked sexist. The male gp gave the impression that he had tried both and this was from his personal experience.  Something the lady couldn’t have done. If the gender reference is offensive then the mods can edit or delete

Not offensive just puzzling. Thanks for the further detail.  :hi:

Several advantages with tadalafil
1) because of its longer effect, timing is less important: you can take it several hours in advance - with sildenafil you have a much narrower time slot
2) far lower chance of side effects: no blue halo, less facial numbness, no headaches
3) much more natural feel to the erection

I'm not sure what you mean here Scutty, can you explain please?
I've just ordered some tadalafil from Dr. Fox, so perhaps I'll soon find out. Sildenafil still gives me a good erection, but I sometimes have a "heavy head" feeling afterwards, so I'm going to give the alternatives a try.

What he said was clear enough. As you said you’ll find out soon enough.

The blue halo, loved the blue halo. Almost as good as the jump itself. Due to medical condition I tried everything the quack could throw at me 5mg 10 mg Tad, no effect, 50 & 100 Sildanafil, no effect. Urethral sticks ouch! 200 mg Sil black bombers Nope... Still got a draw full of the stuff, tempted to drop a box in the kettle at work and play spot the stiffy  :D

Marm's right, you'll understand when you try.
But the best I can explain is to say that with tadalafil the erection feels part of your body, not a wooden bolt-on prosthesis

Blue halo can cause panic when you experience for the first time while driving.......makes a mess of traffic lights
It can really cause temporary colour blindness / confusion

Just a thought, but perhaps the male GP actually had experience of Cialis, whereas a female GP would'nae?

I'm in my mid 30s and have been using Sildenafil (Viagra) for the last 3 years. I get them on DrFox website. It's really helped. Started on 50mg but now I break them in half and 25mg does me (usually).
They've only not worked for me on two occasions but I put that down to nerves. One of those occasions where I managed to pull a girl I was very much into and wanted to perform like a stud. (Que swannie whistle sound going down).

I've tried Tadalafil, and they didnt work as well for me. Plus they gave me backache.

I wouldnt up the dosage to 200mg unless a Dr told me to. I've not had any side effects from Sildenafil yet and I really hope I dont ever. 200mg is pushing it I think.

As someone who doesn’t use it, they say a quarter of a tablet will help you piss in the pan and not on the floor  :yahoo:

Your post doesn’t seem clear... you’ve used 50mg and 25mg sildenafil and suddenly are contemplating 200mg?? Why not just try the normal 100mg?

Sounds like you may just have had a hiccup. Establishing a regular pattern for yourself is a good idea. Anyone can have an off day, nerves or whatever as you said. I hope the civvy girl was understanding.

Sorry, no, the 200mg comment was me replying to the OP's thought of taking 200mg. I dont think I'd go more than 50mg.

In fact, when in a relationship even a quarter of a 50mg tablet (so 12.5mg) does me.

All the talk of exercise is ok, but if you can only walk about 100 metres because of intermittent claudication, and peripheral artery disease causing erectile dysfunction, you just have to rely on meds and a decent cock ring.
100mg syldenafil + c/ring work fine, but as the years go by, I'm finding it harder to climax.
As well as the usual head ache around the sinuses and indigestion, I also sometimes get severe leg cramps a few hours after taking them.
That might also be as a result of the sildenafil reacting with BP  and anti platelet meds????

Sometimes wonder whether it's all worth it particularly if the punt was disappointing, but it doesn't take too long for that feeling to fade.

Perhaps I should try tadalafil.

I am 44 and got into it a few years back when I got off with a girl and spent a full day in bed. After an hour or so, and a few pops, I couldn’t rise to the challenge and had to wait to recover. It was fairly embarrassing.

I started off with 25s, taking them all. But it’s much cheaper to get 100s and take a quarter. The most recent ones I got from Dr Fox are pear shaped so less easy to cut with a knife so I just bite a bit off and leave the remainder in the package.

I’m no longer with the girlfriend but have some very good memories.

I absolutely love it. I’ve been to FKKs in Germany and ridden all round me for hours. I think they make me last longer as well as getting a dick so hard it feels like it could be used as a weapon.

No girlfriend and no punting during lockdown. I’ll maybe take some for a Tom Hank in the coming days.

Perhaps I should try tadalafil.

Is it maybe worth discussing with your GP, Phoenix?

Our situations may not be identical - the disability with which I was born means I 'qualify' for Sildenafil or Tadalafil on NHS prescription. But when Viagra stopped doing the trick for me, I asked one of the GPs at my local Health Centre what could be done about it. She went to the Formulary; found Cialis and I've never looked back.
