Author Topic: Reviews and timings - how long before they're irrelevant?  (Read 1064 times)

Sorry for the vague title, having trouble with my thought processes today.

I joined UKP in August 2016 when I stumbled upon the forum and have posted reviews of my only punts since then.  My punts prior to joining the forum were months beforehand (like six months earlier at least) so it got me wondering whether posting a review older than six months was relevant or not.

Any advice please? :)

I'm new here so my opinion is fairly worthless  I would think but in my hunt for a WG I've looked at old and new reviews so long as the the approx date of the visit is clearly in the review it would still be useful I would have thought.

Hi JWAH, welcome to the forum. All reviews are relevant as they are a review of what you experienced at the time. I have reviewed people before I joined. Either way, with your contribution we are better informed and then its up to us to make our own minds up as to whether we want to visit the WG or not. So yes your review is relevant.

I joined the site in about February but have only done one review from before that time.  I guess as long as you include when you saw her in your review, and as long as the girl is still active, then an old review will be fine.  Welcome to the forum.  :hi:

But then there's nothing to stop you putting out a request on the Regional Board saying, "This is the latest about . . . ; has anyone seen her more recently?"

I did that recently and it led me to dropping the idea of seeing the woman I'd asked about.  That was because the member on here, in replying to my enquiry about her, not only marked my card about the weight she seemed to have put on when he saw her about a year ago, but also went on to suggest someone else whom he thought I'd probably enjoy more.

He was right; I did!! :yahoo:

There's nowt wrong with posting a retrospective review fella. Just make it clear at the start.  :hi: :hi:

EG. I fucked, whoever you fucked, 9 months ago so here's a retrospective review.

There was a similar thread a few months ago and the thinking was that it's still fine to review punts from before you were a member especially if they were negative.
I actually have a couple from over 2 years ago (been a member on here for 2 years) which i've never reviewed but may post one tomorrow as I suspect i'll be at a loose end and the girl is still working

Offline backofthenet

if they are still working, then review them. If not, there's little point.

This ^^

If she's still active then it's relevant. Just say if it were eg six months since.

I'll add this too... if it were a bad experience then don't worry about how long ago it was, they seldom improve.

It's a rare thing for a WG to change her spots for the better and up her game - Angelina's done it - but service can often go down hill, or a WG is more likely to have an off day the more bookings she does,  There are still so many WGs who are unreviewed - any information on UKP is better than no information on UKP.

If there was good service in the past, I'd like to know.   If there was bad service in the past, I'd definitely like to know.

If there's a lack of info then of course an old review is worth something. But for highly reviewed girls I always put more credence into more recent reviews

If she's still active, why not?

Unless there's good evidence that the quality of her service has changed over time, for better or for worse.  If she was a bumbling nervous newbie who got better with experience, or a good WG who went downhill due to drugs or personal problems, then an out-of-date review wouldn't be much use.  Maybe just mention your experience on a thread about her.

I would say, a review from what ever year it comes from, is relevant be it 2008 or most recent 2016, all depends if that escort is still escorting

Seen a number of escorts over the years, now don't know how many are still working...quick check of adult work....one in Edinburgh, Nikola

I think that reviews should be posted within a couple of weeks of meeting happening for them to really be of use.

However, as long as the reviewer gives a clear indication of when a meeting actually happened I think they can still be of value. At the very least, of entertainment value . . . :)

Indeed, my advice is follow admins advice in this link. And also bear in mind some WGs come and go, so their A/W profile may be down when a review is posted on here but back up a week later. Or they come back with a new profile but once its discovered its the same WG the review can still be linked in on here.

...and don't know about yourself, but if i don't review before the next punt, then the details start getting mixed up.
Is it an age thing, or do fellow punters also find that after a few months all your punts start blending together?

I write a report fairly quickly in word and save it for a while so I don't forget any detail.  :hi:

If anything I find time lets me lose the rose tinted spectacles and reduces the chance the SP will work out my AW username.

Some fellow UKP members are capable of writing amazing works of hard-core erotica for their reviews.  I am not one of them.  We all enjoy reading (and wanking to) the great reviews, but don't feel you have to live up to their standard - a brief review of a WG that no-one else on UKP has seen yet (or shouldn't ever see after you) that just states

"profile and pics were or were not accurate, services, time booked and prices were or were not as advertised, were or were not hidden extras, she did or did not leave me feeling like I was ripped off, I would or would not go back"

is so much more useful a contribution to UKP, than say the 10 millionth circle jerk attempt at lengthy verbose erotic writing about J random public's booking with the latest forum darling ;-).

Even if it was a good punt, that might have been more down to you - you might have still been mis sold by an enticing profile, and another punter might not have the same good luck.

I don't like criticising WGs personally, especially not about their body or just what they're into etc.  It's just sex with strangers to me at the end of the day.

But I use UKP avidly, and any booking I make was on the basis of an advert and an agreement (even if just a tacit one), and I feel a certain duty to report how accurate that all was so noone else gets ripped off in future - it is possible to do so without kiss and telling.

Also, there are actually so many good WGs out there, wonderful women who I hope keep working as long as I can pay to shag me.  Letting the rip off merchants get away with it is just unfair on the good WGs.

If they just want to give parlour service, that's fine, that's their thing.  But they should be honest and say so on their profile, instead of promising you a GFE and then not kissing you after you handed over £100 plus per hour.
