I have not used my account for several months (I'm abroad) but have accessed it on irregular occasions.  On last trying to access it a few days ago, I found that it had been arbitrarily deactivated and my profile removed. Now I know that I can't have breached any terms and conditions as the account has not been used recently.

So I sent them an email asking for an explanation and the whereabouts of the money I had in the account. They have not had the common courtesy to reply. Cunts.

So it looks as if I can write off the few quid I had in the account. I won't make that mistake again in a hurry.

They had a big purge from the start of the year, IIRC, and cleared out a lot of the dead wood that haven't logged in for a while. It's been previously mentioned on here.

Which reminds me, best I go and log in before they remove my account again.

ps, OP which route did you go down to contact AW? Some ways work better than others I've found. It also depends on the administrator who's on at the time. There are a right couple of lazy bastards on there, and there are some very helpful ones. Hit and miss I'm afraid.

Email. The fuckers are based in Malta so maybe work their schedule around the pool or the beach. Ought to relocate to Greenland so the lazy bastards attend more to customer relations.

I have some money in my account, which I cannot use. when I try to buy a private gallery, all of a sudden they "cannot verify where I am".

The solution apparently is to buy some credits with a credit card (not ukash or the like) , but there's no way on this earth that I'm giving them my credit card.

So, a few pounds of un-earned money for them, and no more private galleries or reverse bookings for me.

As previously mentioned, AW recently had a purge of accounts without recent logins.  You should have received an email (on whichever email address you've given them) warning you that your account had been deactivated, and telling you that you had a month to reactivate it before the deletion becomes permanent.

If your month isn't up yet, just go to the AW login page and click on "Reactivate me".

For the "stuck credits" problem, the cheap solution is to change your profile phone number to a phone registered in your name (not an unregistered punting phone) and with no porn-block.  Then go through AW's verification process, spend your credits, and then remove the phone number from your profile.

I've never had a problem and never keep more than a few quid in the a/c. If the thread had been started by a newbie I'd maybe be looking for mistakes in the way the account had been handled but when experienced punters are having accounts and dosh disappear it highlights something wrong with the system.

Wake up Adultwork. Given the size and reach of UKP it has an effect on your market, even if not earth-shattering it has an effect. A serious black mark will be picked up not just by punters, not just by whacked-out prossies who don't use AW properly, but affect confidence in Adultwork through the whole industry.

Ukash has now been replaced by Paysafecard' and if you go to wherever you used to get your ukash voucher and get the minimum value paysafecard voucher, (I think it's 15 quid) AW will accept that as proof of age. That's what I did. No way would I give tossers like them credit card details.

That sort of makes sense and possibly explains why things that cost 50p now cost 60p. I'm a little less annoyed about it if that's the case, but it's still a nuisance to fix, and I'm still absolutely not handing over my credit card number.

The money was nothing - about £15 I think. Its a principal thing and the fact that they didn't have the common courtesy to reply to my inquiry. If they sent me a warning email, I certainly didn't see it (maybe it went straight to junk as these things quite often do). I might send a second email but I suspect that I would be just pissing into the wind and my original profile, accrued feedback and credit have gone for good.

I have read and heard first hand of the shitty way in which they treat their customers and now I have experienced it for myself. I doubt that I will rejoin and will rely in future on those girls who list tel no's on their profiles and transact business in the old fashioned way.

I still think that the business methodology of AW is flawed and underhand and that they are run by a bunch of crooked bastards. But what else can you expect from a company that are little more than organised pimps.

I copy and paste my AW feedback into a (hidden) Word document from time to time. Then I could use that to add the FB to my (new) profile if my current one gets closed down. Probably not necessary, but you never know.   Bm
