Hi Lads
I was wondering if parlours and escort agencies require the girls to provide a up to date  certificate from the gum clinic on a regular basis if they want to work or is that to logical / sensible :unknown:
Or is it a matter of Caveat emptor. :bomb:

I would imagine much like everything in the punting world it varies widely depending on the set up.

Some Manchester parlours have health workers who regularly come in and the girls can get themselves tested on site if they want to whereas other parlours turn a blind eye to drink; drugs; barebacking and probably don't check if foreign girls are legally in the country

No, punting is always a case of taking the risks you are prepared to take, and by the way any certificate a WG may provide is only any good up until the time she had the tests. She could get infected the day after and might not know herself until the next GUM visit. Also unless you see photo ID as well to match up the name any cert might not actually be the WGs, it could be another WGs for all I would know. That's punting.

Yes  I understand  that your health is your own  priority and one should not trust anyone else with it .
I was just wondering if there was any onus on the establishments to at least try to keep its paying customers
safe .
The government is busy sticking its nose into anything and  everything especially up here in Scotland where a lot of legislation is tried first before it is rolled out UK wide ,they obviouslydont mind upsetting the Scots but not brave enough to upset England ,so making it a requirement to maybe have at least some sort of standards for public safety would gave seemed normal .

ALL brothels are illegal in the first place so making it a requirement that WGs who work in them are tested is legally null and void. As to the onus being on pimps, don't hold your breath.

There is NO onus on the establishment to keep punters or girls safe from STIs. I have known some that require girls to have regular checkups and show the parlour owner the all clear certificate or text from the GUM clinic BUT the certificate (like your MOT certificate) proves that everything was ok AT THE TIME OF THE TEST.
Some GUM nurses do visit parlours by invitation offering advice condoms up to date info on sexual health matters and suchlike. At the end of the day punters and working girls should be tesponsible for THEIR OWN sexual health and decide what risks they are willing to take. I've been punting for over 40 years never had an STI so taking responsibility and care makes sense (for me at least).
