Ahh punting dynamics / conversations can be a microcosm to the bigger issues being played out in the wider world re: pay not going up for many.
Firstly, totally agree. Regardless of comments from WG in that they like sex, or love the job. Money is the motivator and absolutely nothing wrong with that and if they can maximise earnings and have the clientele, then fair enough and that's to be expected. It'd be unrealistic to think otherwise.
My second point is related and I think lies at the heart of the matter. Agree, as a whole people's wages havent gone up in real terms but there's a whole lot of people who have done very very well over the last ten years. And for some spending 150 -200 on a hobby every month or fortnight is absolutely no consideration, its just like going for a meal spontaneously. By no means is this a bad thing but I think this is also connected to WG increasing prices. If the demand and stable client base is there, it's a no a no brainer for the WG.
