I think they're conflating all trafficking with sex trafficking........from the stats I've seen most Vietnamese seem to be forced to work in cannabis farms and nailbars, while the Africans tend to become household slaves / forced marriages (where they get passed around the whole family for sex)

Its still prostitution here but a different form - girl gets married off to a muslim guy in Burnley or whatever, becomes the house slave and gets fucked by whichever male in the house wants her, plus the husbands friends / uncles / whoever Abdul the taxidriver brings round. This "chain" used to be 3-5 shops ..... now there are a large number which seem to be in some sort of "group".

I  can't go into details, but we've had some locally who were definitely forced into it (in one case to pay off a gambling debt she was conned into). We've had others brought here on false job offers who were forced into sex work on arrival. We've got others where the girls are obviously externally managed, being rotated every couple of weeks - but there's no obvious sign of extortion or force and the girls -seem - happy in what they are doing. But....we know the chinese pimps train and rehearse their girls like pet dogs, and its quite possible its all a front and that underneath there is something quite unsavory.
What never seems to get revealed is the conditions under which these girls arrived: how much do they owe, and to whom? "Free" one of these chinese girls from a parlour, repatriate her and you could be turning her into a source of surgery spare parts to repay the debt. Let her stay here, and without understanding of English she's likely to go back to the Chinese community and fall into the hands of the gangs again.
Truth is there are too many imponderables, and when the girls and pimps are picked up they tend to say nothing - its the Chinese equivalent of omerta.

None of us can be sure.

However, I've been to just over 20 different Chinese shops (mostly South West/South Coast) and have never had any concerns about the ladies I've seen.

They've all been friendly, happy and, from my observations and conversations with them, totally in control of their situations.

Only one middle aged lady seemed unhappy with her lot. That was because she was a "Doctor" but had few customers who wanted TCM and she had to rely on the massage/HE to earn any money.

Therein lies the difficulty
Often these Chinese girls disguise their true feelings, and the reality of the situation well. In  many cases they are effectively brainwashed into co-operating with their pimps. As I said earlier, trained like pet dogs.

Missed the Salford bit, add in the girl,from Bolton , accessing from Germany, that was listed as Croydon and the other one from Rotherham listed as Croydon and it looks dodgy as fuck.
