Upper age limits

When I opened my AW account I used my actual DoB.  Also used a username that might give the game away regarding my age.  Rather naively I didn't think it would be important.  I've since noticed that some WG's mention an upper age limit.  One I saw recently won't see men over 50 (I'm 57).  Has anyone ever been turned down for being too old?  Should I switch to "pro$$ie years" and tweak my DoB accordingly e.g. knocking five years off (although the username would stay the same).  Or would it be so rare to be turned down that it's not worth it?

I am an old bastard but it has never been a problem to find suitable pro$$ies, very few have an upper age limit but some prefer not to see very young guys --------- say under 25.

Some won't see you because you're too young.

It's difficult to predict the mind of a prossie, so don't try.

Also, just pick something neutral. I've never been asked my age by a prossie, why volunteer it?

My age isnt relevant as i am the service buyer, as i am only 48 i havent ever been turned down on age grounds yet. When or if i get to 60+ i might view it differently though of course.

My advice is give false info all the time, nowadays i punt anonymously which suits me.

I could easily get away with knocking five years off but I still wouldn't fib about it to get round a girls age rules. If there was one I really fancied I would still ask though.

its best never to give any "real" information when registering on websites.  Prossies lie about age so nothing to stop you knocking a few years off either.  I have seen a few profiles that have set the upper age limit to whom they will see very low - 35 or 40 tops and usually add they won't see anyone overweight etc., etc.,  Apart from the fact that these type of wg's are effectively ruling out the majority of punters, you wonder why the fuck they are in this game if they are going to be so picky....

I would ignore any profiles where I am close to their upper age range - they obviously have a problem with it, so I move on.

I only once had a problem about this in my early days of using AW when someone I wanted to see had an upper age-limit of 60, which was my age at the time.

Being the pedant I am, I pointed out that, as I wasn't over 60, could I come and see her [I was less assertive in those days!]?  She agreed; and I noticed that she altered the wording on her Profile shortly afterwards to be less age-specific.

Although she subsequently disappeared from AW, I noticed earlier this year that she'd returned with a slightly different Nickname but exactly the same wording on her Profile.

It wasn't my best-ever punt so I didn't bother going back before my 61st birthday!

ho ho ho, here we go, you berate ladies who lie about their age and then some of you admit and even advocate lying about your age.

Honesty is the best policy. I never mention mine unless asked, or until we have finished when if I say my age I get compliments for my stamina. But if asked I say the truth. But when describing myself in my introductory emails I usually just write 'and I am older than you'.

And if a profile has an upper age limit it is their loss. So many say they like older fellows for their experience or some other tripe reason.

Me; I now focus on the erm, "late 30s/early 40s".  And I'm sure I won't be the only one in our age-group!

I was 65 when I started punting and opened AW account and I did quote my real age but I was concerned that WG would not wish to see guys of my age.

I know a very few prefer not to see above a certain age which is correctly their choice, I am now 70 and WG seem to be quite happy to see me.

I think as long as you are respectful and your hygiene is Ok then they are happy.

Very true, kenw; once you're comfortable with the AW system, you can soon find the girls who are happy to indulge [and be indulged by?] us "more senior" punters.

But why no OAP discount?  I think they need to get with the times. 

Anyway I tried just deleting the whole DoB box on AW but if you do that it defaults to 1900 so shows your age as 113!  Whereas I'm sure there are some WG's out there who would still go for it just for the experience or the challenge (subject to you signing a health disclaimer first) I decided to stick with the truth.  Let's face it if they're not comfortable seeing me at the age I am then there's no point lying about it.  It's unlikely to lead to a relaxing punt

i am aged  70 normally go out  twice a week and have never had the slightest bother with age limits.i have only once asked a girl to guess my age and she said '' 55 am i right '' and she was quite sober believe it or not.
