Back in the day (before auto correct), a girl at my office sent a tax computation to KPMG and the covering note described it as a tax copulation.  She was gorgeous - her mind must have been elsewhere (the same place as all the guys in the office whenever they saw her).

Online hermanmunster

An English professor wrote up on the board “woman without her man is nothing” and told his students to punctuate it.

The males in the class wrote “Woman, without her man, is nothing.”
The females wrote “Woman! Without her, man is nothing.”

My favourite is the spell check that gives the wrong word and no one bothers to fix it.

E.g. If you are looking for a real girlfriend experience then I am defiantly the girl for you.

I like a defiant chick  :rose:

That one is so common it's scary. I've tried to make my phone spell checker put "defiantly" instead of "definitely", and it just won't do it. That leads me to conclude that it's not spell checkers, it's just stupidity.

“Draw”and “drawer” is one which irritates me across social media much more than it should.

The specific punting/escorting one which annoys me is “discrete” instead of “discreet”. It’s rare to actually read a profile where it’s spelled correctly.

Does "discrete" mean it will be a socially-distanced punt?

Wake up HP, she is a service provider so she can't post reviews.    :hi:
If she pays HP to lie on top of her she could couldn’t she?  :D

Offline Marmalade

“woman without her man is nothing” only needs a capital letter and a full stop. The meaning is clear. The first example is excessive punctuation so in my opinion, incorrect. The second example is a woman making a point but it is correctly punctuated. The ‘professor’ was just showing off!

“woman without her man is nothing” ???

Huum ... Is skint perhaps?...

Saw profile recently (can't find it now) that had a gold, silver and bronze service listed.

In the bronze service you received a blow yob.

I think I'll upgrade to silver thanks.

You get a lot of bullshit heights and weights too. I don’t just mean girls adding a few inches or subtracting a few pounds, but total bullshit like getting kgs and lbs mixed up, saying that they weigh 60lbs instead of 60kgs.

2.5m is the most inaccurate height I’ve seen.

I don't usually worry about spelling mistakes from colleagues unless they are a journo or have a English Lit degree.

My Gurkha colleague has atrocious spelling and punctuation so I suggested he inserts a line with random letters and punctuation to allow the reader to insert where required. He shines in other areas he is really good at pulling women of all ages who shag on first date (and then pass them on to me) and salutes everybody even civilians, cats and dogs.

Many don't spell correctly due to pure laziness.

I have to confess I always think twice before writing 'discreet'.  For me, the possible confusion arises from the abstract noun 'discretion', which suggests it should be spelt 'discrete'.  It would be easier to get right if 'discretion' was a concreet noun.
I'm constantly amazed by how many spelling mistakes are made in this day and age where your phone, laptop, computer etc will prompt you to correct any errors - laziness, I guess.

yep, I am happy to create laughter.

the issue for me is between spelling - OK, and typing - less OK, unless I go back and poorf read what I typed.

Or even the blame - to be grammatically correct.

I must admit that mispelling really irritates me.

Grammar and spelling being taught again in schools. The average 11 year old now probably has better spelling than the average 31 year old. They should know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're", for example. Ten years from now, when they are at work, their spelling, grammar and command of English will be far better than their managers'.
