Just got back from 4 weeks over there and China
First of all HK and Kowloon are the safest place on Earth in 10 years I have never seen any trouble of any kind at any hour of the day.
I always stay at the Regal Kowloon on the Moody Road, if you pay a little extra and get the exec floor you get free transport to and from the airport, free breakfast and from 5..30 to 7.30/8pm you get free drinks and light food buffet. With drinks in most lively bars in HK and Kowloon running at £7-9 for a beer, the exec floor is a bargain.
The hotel is also in the middle of the WG area and we used to laugh about running the gauntlet every night as they do surround the hotel from 5pm-3am, so it always gives you a guaranteed pick up if all else fails. They are very persuasive but will take no for an answer eventually. HK$ about 800-1,000.
I have never tried the web sites above but I would be concerned about extra charges for something so cheap. You can find all-inclusive saunas In Kowloon, there is one at the bottom of the Nathan road on the right hand side going towards the harbour. The sign is about 2 floors up (TST Suana) and you go in a lift, perfectly safe costs HK$800 all in.
However the number one choice for the true HK experience is Wan Chi on the island. Taxi from Kowloon HK$80-90 or the Metro HK$10. (The underground is 5 times better than London and so cheap, stops running about mid-night)
Wan Chi Lockhart Road – try to avoid the strip clubs on the one side of the road as they will physically drag you in and they are very expensive (but not like strip clubs in UK) private rooms can accommodate 3 ladies who will take liberties of your body, it’s very HARD to say no trust me.
Taboo Bar 25 Luard Rd, on the corner of Jaffe street is the new in place, when I went there men were out number 3 or 4 to one, the ladies start the conversation and if you don’t like the first politely move on and another will start talking to you. Other great bars include Joe Banana’s, Dusk Till Dawn, The Wanch and you can always go to Neptune’s there is 1, 2 and 4 I think these are more like nightclubs, same as the bars outnumbered 2/3 to one, same as the bars but there are private booths……. You will need to negotiate prices are HK$1,000-2,000 but that covers all night and morning at your hotel and the hotels (especially the Regal) don’t challenge you or your guest. I always book a double room which usually cost £5 or £10 more but stops any questions.
Personally I think WC is much better value for money and the WG will do almost anything for you including a proper GFE.
You can also try Lan Kwai Fong the main party area in HK, very lively bar area most bars have live bands in the back some WG but not as many as WC.
There are lots of other tips I can give you like China bar in Kowloon but to be honest the above will keep you busy or kill you pure pleasure and frustration that you have to fly home..
