Happened to me twice in 2016 

-One of which, it was a terrible punt and I walked about 20 mins into an hour booking about 3 months earlier so doubt she would even remember me (I was by myself anyway and she's EE with limited English too). Stayed clear nonetheless (was in a shopping centre).
-But the other, was a WG I had seen 5+ times over the previous year. I was out for dinner with my MOTHER of all bloody people when the WG walked in with another woman around her age, I assume a civvy friend (side note: nice/high end place too...interesting to know that our punting money is being spent tastefully  ).
Spotted each other almost straight away...my heart fell into my stomach as they say. I dunno, in the moment my brain feared the worst...thinking she would approach me or something. They sat about 5 tables away and nothing happened...at one point she clearly said something to the friend about me (turned around to look etc), but nothing sinister (I imagine she was probably as shocked as me, and just told her friend I was one of her clients).

So thankfully no issues either time, but it could have been very different with another WG in another moment, the crazy type that we hear and post about so often...the type that get too personal and send you the odd casual text every now and then when you're not booking, etc.
***Question: so what would you do if you were approached in public by a WG? While you were with a friend, family, or worse...the other half. Play dumb? lol. Not sure I'm cool enough tbh, would probably be clear I'm lying. My punting life is very covert. Not even close friends or colleagues know I do it...I don't even tell the ones who ironically tell me that they do it. So all in all you could say being outted is my biggest nightmare lol.

I believe you're right, but I do think that there are some that would out a punter even if it meant risking outing themselves.
Also a variety of scenarios that could be high risk for you and low risk for her (e.g. a WG that doesn't 'shit where she eats' and tours say London while she is from Manchester)-- if she approached you in London, she would probably be on her own and no one would know or spot her if a scene escalated, while you on the other hand...
Lastly there's the ones whose friends, family and even partners (and not just because they're pimped by them...there are ones who are happily in very open relationships) know what they do...so in that sense they have nothing to lose. It's perhaps this variety that could be most dangerous if for one reason or another they wanted to be sinister.
