Reasons for punting ?

I don't seem to be able to find a good relationship, once I almost got married to someone who wanted money,money and money.
Then I dated a train wreck of a woman.. later I dated someone who wanted me to pay her dinners but didn't give anything back..
I'm thinking it's not worth it especially when you see all these broken and sexless marriages.
I'm preferring to punt at home and on holiday.
