This thread has caught my interest...i work not far from Edgware Rd tube station and would really love to know details of brothels nearby - esp. Ones that offer line ups as I find it all very exciting in a seedy kind of way. You are obviously right it was a time 15-20 yrs ago when prostitution in Uk was mainly based on street girls and girls were also available openly. now  a days electronics media has developed greatly we have a strong escorting site adultwork to find a girl easily, so actually we do not need to rely on street girls.

Funny you mention this about street girls, I was staying in the hilton a couple of weeks back, I popped out to buy some fags about 11pm and saw one girl near st Michaels st and another on the corner of Sussex gardens where it meets Edgware road. I was in Edgware road last Sunday. Went with friends to winter Wonderland. Afterwards we walked down Edgware road to get to paddington. We was in a group of 10 mainly female so we wasnt proposed by street walkers lol but around the middle where the banks are i did notice a few EE girls who had Hooker characteristics. They could just be sluts on a night out but there isnt much in Edgware road to do other than eat....

Have been a punter in the US (metro NY) but have not been part of the hobby for a while. Prefer to hunt (not pay) now (not judging) although still interested in what's out there. I live off Edgware Road and can confirm that on any given night there are girls working here. At first I thought they were limited to being closer to Sussex Gardens but of late have seen them all the way up to George Street/Kendal Street. I went back to Edgeware Road out of curiosity and spoke to 4 different WGs all close to Sussex Gardens. This was at 7pm in the evening. They're not stood on the corner in knee high boots - it's slightly more discreet than that. I noticed the same girls walking up and down the street, sometimes in pairs, sometimes alone, dressed normally so as not to stand out. I smiled at them and they smile back. I talked to a few. Some asked if I wanted "business". When I enquired about the prices - each told me the same - £60 for half an hour and that I would have to pay another £40 to a local hotel owner too (I won't say which one, but the hotel owner seems to know the girls so he knows what's going on). I refused and actually have no interest in punting a street walker - at £100 total for 30 minutes it's not exactly value for money! (not to mention the risks involved). Ah this brings back memories! Working in Edgware Road back in the early-mid 1980s, the whole length of Sussex Gardens was a positive parade-ground for street-walkers. The bravest would often be out there in broad daylight, but come the evening time there would be hoards of them out there. Some crackers too I seem to recall. Very tempting!

Punters used to come from far and wide as it was a real (perhaps only) tangible alternative to dealing with the lottery of the telephone-box cards! I work in the city,  drive through Paddington on my way back to the a40 and home. Be careful of this sort of stuff lads, the shifty guys sitting on the wall at the corner of ed road are dealers and pimp's boys.

There are girls in every major town street walking, just Google kerb crawlers and the town. And if you havnt noticed police crackdowns have made it risky.
