I get to dine in a nice restaurant with some attractive companions, drink decent wine, gossip and swap stories, and then back to the hotel for relaxed, unhurried, creative play, with no set time limit, drifting off to sleep when we are ready, with the promise of an encore in the morning.
It's not fluffy. I don't see it as a relationship, or even the pretense of one. It's a full-service package, an immersive experience. It's the difference between looking at pictures of the Parthenon and being there at sunset.
So after steak and wine (I keep forgetting that KDD doesn't like steak - she had the fish) it was back to the hotel.
Side Rant: wetroom bathrooms. I am gratified that so many hotels now have wheelchair-adapted rooms. But you can't just rip out the bath from a normal bathroom, stick in roll-in shower, retile and call it a wetroom! Laying a wetroom floor is a specific skill. It needs to be done properly, so everything drains. If you don't do this, all that happens is that the bathroom instantly floods the minute you turn the shower on!
Such was the case in my hotel, which was a shame as wetrooms are also excellent for watersports (you just rinse it all away) which is something to which both ladies are partial. However, faced with the prospect of it going everywhere, and us tracking it onto the bedroom carpet, I decided to pass and move on the bed for fun and games.
