Hi anyone got any experience or advice for Japan. Areas being Nagoya and Kyoto.

Kyoto is a very nice city but punting seems harder even than in Tokyo. If I’d stayed longer I would have investigated the backstreets and tried to make friends with an international who could set me up. Btw unless you’re in expenses the backstreets I found are also good for reasonably priced food in hearty portions. Japan is not cheap.
