Hi guys,

When doing the Hotel thing, ever been confronted by staff? Any tips on how to handle it when they come straight up to you and say, 'what are you doing here? What is your room number?' WTF, I've been rumbled LOL

Never had a problem in the UK, as staff mind their own business. But in other countries... a different story!

Turn the question round: Get a pen and paper out, make a note of the name on the badge they are wearing, and ask the manager's name.

"What am I doing here?  Writing an impartial editorial for a hotel guide.  What is your Job Title please?"

I've been popping in and out of that hotel over 50 times, I wasn't acting weird either, it was very quick

Confidence & preparation is the key.
Ask the prossie to describe the layout (reception, lifts etc) & walk in like your a customer.
I have only been challenged once but it turned out to be the manager asking me if i was happy with my stay

The hemp in your name has no -eh- relevance to your visits?

On a late night rendezvous at a hotel in town, I was asked for my room number and name on booking by hotel staff.  I had the number but only her alias.  Very awkward while I waited for my 'friend' to come down to escort me to the room.

It is awkward

Not on a meet with anyone, as not had any problems them, but I book hotels for photography photoshoots with models and escorts. Never had a problem until last month. Switched to a new hotel which I quite liked to use, so shooting away with the model, and suddenly get a loud banging on the door with a member of staff demanding I open the door immediatly as they need to be let into the room. Apparently someone in a hotel 400-600 yards across a couple of car parks and roads had called to complain that their child had seen sordid going on's in the room and was asking questions, so the hotel I was in got very snotty etc..Meanwhile the model is naked hugging the duvet to herself looking very awkward lol. We had already been there shooting for 4hrs! Didnt ask us to leave though as we said we were near the end, but demanded we shut the curtains, and any future stays we would be interrogated and constantly checked on. I cancelled all future bookings after that.
Best laugh is, neither of us could see into the rooms of the other hotel, so they would have HAD to have had binoculars and actively spying on my hotel and its rooms..and..we were 6-7 floors up, so def not visable from the road!

Interesting, for the best part Ive heard that WGs who frequently use said establishments pay a little back hander to the Duty Manager. Dont know what sort of fee could even be a free punt. For the best part hotel staff dont care in 1-2 star places. Go to the Celtic Manor or a high end place and  its a different story, so it falls on good customer service really where staff are attentive. "can I help you Sir"
"Yeah Im off to poke the Ebony Rhianna lookalike in room 69", " have fun Sir, happy Rimming"
