Punting in Sri Lanka?

Hi all,

Now that the vaccine is being rolled out the family are planning the next holiday. Sri Lanka is on the top of the list so was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences there?

Please share as much detail as possible as we have not picked which cities we will be visiting yet, doubt we can cover all of the island in two weeks.

Sri Lanka is a very dry place to find quality SPs I guess. Your best bet would be to find a local pimp in Colombo. Always the hotel staff who drop your luggage are the one who knows the pimps. This is standard across South Asia.

There ARE some quality gems to find in Sri Lanka, but be very wary of punting there - since 2018 the police have had a huge crackdown on prostitution and a government anti-corruption drive has stopped lots of the brothels/massage places from paying off local police. Lots of foreign punters have faced fines and/or jail time for being caught at raids. Your best bet is a local contact who knows the scene. I used to go to legitimate massage places several times, gain the trust of women and get them to come back to my hotel outside of work - what you do in private is private. What is on offer at these legitimate massage places in In Sri Lanka ?
And how many times had it took them to gain your trust ? If they offer some erotic massage it’s very easy to start a conversation to ask them to come to hotel. In other places sometimes we end up risking and termed harrasment.

There are many genuine, reputable spas where it's obvious no extras are on offer. There are others where it's obvious extras can be negotigated - women wearing skimpy costumes, names such as "Body Heaven", a receptionist who hints strongly at it etc. Those are the places to avoid as they're the target of raids. They often disappear suddenly and reappear in new premises under a new name - they're always trying to stay one step ahead of law enforcement.

At the genuine spas, women will refuse to offer extras inside the establishment (but won't take offence to you asking), but if you chat them up they might be willing to meet outside work. My trick was to strip and lie down naked, even if offered "spa pants" to wear, then when the woman covered me with a towel to hide my modesty, you could ask if she can give a different type of massage at your hotel. If no, just accept the nice massage (it's literally £10-15 for 1 hour, nothing to lose).

I met a nice sister duo (no idea if they were real sisters, but they looked very similar), who came together for a "4 hand" massage to my hotel. They took it in turns to film me fucking the other girl, I gave them £60 each for 3 hours and they were over the moon. Got lucky with that one. Others were average, met a smoking hot 22 y/o masseur who agreed to come to my hotel, but was a dead starfish, just lying there and clearly wanting it to be over with. Another one admitted to being a virgin just as I got her naked, I felt bad for her and sent her on her way - it might be some guy's dream to pop her cherry but I felt uncomfortable about it. Sadly it has been an actual struggle to find a decent SP over here in SL.

The providers you meet at Spas (abundant around Kotte) are quite mature and not the most pleasant looking.

I have not taken the plunge but, might do out of desperation.

The fact that the nation is in utter turmoil at the moment is worth thinking about.

True but, the people are honestly some of the most resilient I have seen ever.

Beside the punting game being weak. The country is absolutely amazing. People are lovely, food is amazing and the conversion rate is brilliant for anyone looking for a cheap holiday.

There are power cuts but, if you stay in a decent enough hotel you will not experience these either.

People protest by signing songs. I went to some of these myself and can report back that it is a lot safer than what most of the media are reporting.

Sorry only just seen your message on this thread.

As I mentioned in the direct message, I tried the rickshaw route but found the chaps to be quite demeaning on their cut which was fine but they also came across quite scary so I opted out of this route.

I just walked around the local area in Colombo that I was staying late at night and noticed that quite a few places had boards with the words Spa lit in neon lights. I walked into once of these places and asked for a full body massage (1,500 Rs.) then once in the little cubicle was offered the menu of services and I went with the full service at 3,500 Rs. All in it was a decent punt, the SP was a youngish woman.

There was a general issue with the language barrier but, the SP knew what suck and sex meant, therefore I was able to go about my business. Note that this was a P&D experience not a full GF experience.

All services were taken covered (I didn’t even ask for anything unprotected as this is not my thing).

I would have liked to meet with middle tier or even a high end escort but, I honestly could not figure out how I could go about doing this.

Besides the punt scene, the food was awesome.

I am sure you will have an amazing time there mate, I highly recommend visiting Sri Lanka at least once.

I think if you travel against this advice, some/much of your travel insurance will be invalid - to say nothing about potentially getting caught up in their internal problems. if you go, take care!

So turns out it's very overblown media coverage. Sri Lanka to visit is fine, actually the issuing tourists are now causing the hardship to be worse than it should be

Yea I felt exactly the same when I was out there.

The country is hurting but, for tourism right now is amazing. When I converted my money I got around 450 SL Rupees/ £1.

Plus they leave tourist alone and out of their issues. The country and its people clearly survive on tourism. Boycotting the country as a tourist destination will only make the people there suffer more.

I might be going out there again next year on work so will be able to get out and about more.
