Out with a civvie friend last night at a party. Tbh this is a girl I would love to fuck and she is always flirty when we meet; we're both married but often work together. Last night walking back to the tube she said "oh we should go this way- it leads to a nice little area called Sheperds Market, do you know it?"
I feigned innocence (never actually used the walk ups there but know all about them)
She was interested in the nice restaurants and shops - I pointed out one of the walk up doors, hoping to start a conversation about sex, but she was totally oblivious.
Made me realise the vast majority of civvie girls just have no idea of the seedy world we inhabit!

Maybe you're right. Bit late to do anything about it now. I'm not too concerned though because I always book by phone, and I can't remember the last time a prossie asked my name tbh. I have a punting identity/email address which I use for eg booking outcall hotels, which I'm now used to, and which avoids using my real name by mistake.
One thing I try to avoid now is leaving a review which identifies the date/time of the visit (except for occasional walk up thread comments). So tbh I think the chances of a prossie picking my reviews out are fairly slim.

Positive reviews? Maybe I've been lucky: one negative and one neutral so far out of a dozen or so. Just calling it like it is. It's largely thanks to UKP that I've had so many positive experiences.

I'd still recommend you change the habit. You only need to look at safe to see how they pass round punters' emails and phone numbers in order to blacklist ones they've taken a dislike to. It only takes one psycho bitch, and you may not even have had to see her personally.

We had a guy on here a while back, made an innocent enough joke on a thread. A psycho bitch cum techie internet warrior took it the wrong way and waged a campaign against him. Made fake twitter accounts in his name, vilified him across blogs, found out where he worked, outed him to his employer, he lost his job and his wife left him. There's only one punter on here I know of that probably knows what he's doing well enough with impunity (at least by his account) to admit his online name on all boards and to prossies and that's Smiths. He's probably shagged more British prostitutes than several of the top hitters put together and he always chooses his words very carefully. Even Nik and JRC have been fucked over enough not to broadcast their identity to all and sundry. But a guy see a few 'nice' prostitutes and think 'no-one would possibly want to hurt him.'

When the OH and her friends mention seedy old men that go with prozzys (because only seedy old men go with prozzys don’t they?) I join in the conversation with “I don’t know how they could afford it, what do prozzys charge anyway? About £500?” they all laugh at how naïve I am. It can occasionally work the other way round. Many years ago a rather bitchy female neighbour was gossiping to me about another neighbour who she reckoned was a prossie. She said she'd seen a lot of random male visitors entering and leaving by this woman's back door. (We lived in a row of terraced houses.) Doug I would take very seriously the advice given by Marmalade to leave any trace is risky the tiniest crossover of information can lead people who choose to look on a very revealing journey about you in this digital age you leave an electronic footprint  whether you realise it or not. Best just keep all info about yourself as discreet as possible.

I m interested how do you avoid give your real to the hotel staff etc when making a booking as most will require to take your card details

I use a site called between nine and five where you book with an email address and pay cash at the hotel on the day. This is for daytime meets- don't know if something similar is possible for overnights but I never do those anyway.
