This is exactly my thinking.

It's easy to spend that on drink on a night out given the prices in pubs and clubs nowadays (even if you do a fair amount drinking beforehand). Food can be a minor additional cost as well. The biggest expense though is time (and time lost the next day due to a lie in, hangover etc).

My own personal view, irrespective if you like older women or not, it could become 'sad' if you over-rely on WGs to fulfil the gap of a relationship.

I agree with this and many of the other posts already. Only punt occasionally if you have the money and try to focus on pulling civvies. I started at 19 and unless a WG has a clearly stated minimum age, they should be fine seeing you, but just be prepared for comments about how young you look.

TLDR: you aren't alone, lots of us started young. Tuck into a MILF or two, but don't get carried away.

18 is young to become a full blown punter, yes - by which I mean doing it regularly, having an AW account etc. Plenty of lads that age do it on holiday, Thailand or Amsterdam or wherever else, just for the banter or as one-off. For any teenagers out there reading UKP because they are interested in the answer to this question I'd say Link7 has given some good advice. I'd add a couple of comments:

- It's not weird to fancy older women. At 18 years old most women will be older than you. Plenty of women still look hot into their 30's, 40's and beyond. I had some great times with a few civvie women in their 40's when I was in my early 20's. If you're talking about getting the horn for proper grannies in their 80's that is less common, some guys on here seem to be into it, personally I don't see the appeal.

- If you're still a virgin, I can see the merits in some of the arguments that it's best to see a professional for your first time. But, IMO you'll be better off sticking with the civvies until you've got that achievement under your belt.
