What's the betting that they will focus on street walkers, trafficking and brothels who have trafficked girls in them. Oh underage girls will be mentioned and underage trafficked girls.
The BBC imo is controlled by the left, I hope I'm wrong but I don't think we will see any real representation of punters and prossies. Will the indie scene be discussed in depth I doubt it.
Well I've seen plenty of arguments suggesting the Beeb in fact subscribes to the right-wing status quo...
In any case, not sure the subject is really a left/right issue, rather authoritarian vs libertarian, which can be found on both sides. Right-wing authoritarians want to penalise the WGs, left-wing ones the punters - libertarians both left and right view it as a private matter, best left there except where it can be shown to cause harm, e.g. trafficking, coercion etc.
I should imagine most of us on here are pretty libertarian on this subject :-) Unfortunately libertarians also tend not to want to be elected - as this means being in authority, so we end up with politicians who want to interfere with our lives in one way or another.
And the journos who produce these programmes are looking for something sensational that viewers will feel outraged about. Man pays woman for sex, both happy, isn't much of a story.
