Hamilton had  simple break clause after 12 months which he has exercised.

He has done nothing wrong. The contact was valid despite claims to the contrary

You only have to go to a GP to see how popular Ferrari in comparison to other teams and that applies to drivers too.
Smart move by Hamilton I'm sure he knows the potential or lack of at Mercedes plus they only offered a 1 year deal.
$50M a year seems a lot but look at Ferraris share price after he signed,I think they got a bargain.

LH has put over 10% on the share price, adding €6bn+ to the market capitalization
I wonder if he got any share options as part of his deal
Thinking about it he could have bought say £50mill of shares or options
Difficult to say that insider trading coz he's taking a punt on himself
The share price can go both ways

I think Ferrari will be pretty keen that he has one of these to be seen driving round in Monaco

I'm pretty sure Hamilton already owns a Ferrari road car for driving around Monaco.
First car he bought with his F1 salary was a Ferrari 599 GTO

Hamilton signed a 2 year deal last August for Mercedes which would have taken him to the end of the 2025 season. At Ferrari he has the potential to earn $100 million including sponsorship deals and performance related bonuses which will make him the highest paid driver in Formula 1 history. Perhaps he can afford to buy himself some decent clobber instead of all that weird shit he wears  :D

I believe it may be sexual.
Which actually surprises me unless this is historic; he seems hugely aware of his actions and how they may come across these days. Not to say that he hasn't been a sleaze in the past/still isn't with NDAs signed- I think he is too aware of the (rightly so) trouble it can cause now.

I wonder if Karen has heard of karma, what goes around .... etc

In 2021 especially he was beyond it relentless pursuit of the FIA whenever the opportunity arose

This approach worked, 2021 Abu Dhabi

It might be RB's thinking that Karen attracts negative press & coz they've got such a dominant car overall they can still win without him with a suitable replacement & have less negative PR

He's also one annoying fucker

Constant references from all over the place to 2021 & then there's the overspend cheating issue, maybe a time for a change

Season is going to be a slog. RB are clearly ahead of everyone else.

The cost cap which is a good idea, has sort of backfired in this situation as only one team really nailed the current regs. Perhaps it is time to reconsider how the cap works going forward

An excellent investment for the slap on the wrist

The FIA's quest to end Mercedes dominance, when there was some racing [at least between the Merc drivers & more than the last two seasons] hasn't gone too well
Their poster boy MV isnt exactly media friendly
& RB's team principal is in hot water which he is unlikely to shake off anytime soon

As widely commented on in the media Horner's disciplinary case has been dismissed internally by Red Bull [RB]
Prior to this RB reported

"After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation," Red Bull said.
"This process, which is already under way, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister"

I wonder who paid for the barrister ?
Independent ?
& whether the complainant received the same level of legal advice
If not the playing field or rather circuit aint exactly level

Thats the complainants career at RB [& most likely F1 too] over
She can pursue CH externally through the police & courts
Well unless there's an arrangement agreed [like Phil & his six figure {£100,000 - £999,999} gagging agreement]

Interesting MV's take on things
External Link/Members Only

Verstappen, however, did not offer unequivocal support for his team principal during the FIA press conference at the Bahrain International circuit
When he was asked if he was 100% behind Horner and how he ran the team, the world champion offered only his backing for the investigation then currently taking place.
“Well I’m trusting the process, that’s what’s happening right now,” he said

This was just hours before his Red Bull team principal was exonerated of any wrongdoing by an independent investigation into allegations of inappropriate controlling behaviour made against him by a female member of staff

The timing is interesting

We will soon know if Red Bull will be the team to beat if the Dutch brat gets pole position.  If so it will be a dull race leading up to another dull season and the only good thing is to see the lovely Naomi Schiff * on Sky F1 channel before the race.
