Will this be a problem for anyone else, not that I mind paying £9 but could be awkward explaining why I'm around the city centre on a certain day, might have to keep my punting outside the zone

Offline tammy5fingers

im guessing it will be like Bath, so if you have a modern car you wont be charged. there is a website that you can enter your reg into and it tells you what you have to pay if anything.

Yep  ....  loads  of  foreigners ,  tourists  ,  illiterates  and  others  who  are  unaware  will  get  hammered by  a  £120  penalty  for  not  paying  this charge  .....

and  in  Bristol   it  will  soon  ANPR  and  f***    you     £120  penalty    as  you  race  into  Easton/St  Pauls   past  Junction  3  of  the  motorway  ,  while  you  are  watching  the speedometer  on  the  infamous   40  mph  limit  zone   ......   at  exactly  the  same  spot  on  Bristol's  motorway

Bristol's motorway   speed  cameras  by  the    Avonmouth  railway   line   , Easton   ,  raked in  £ 2.5   million  in it's  first  year ......

Come  off   at   junction  2    and park  in Lockleaze   ,  Fishponds /Redfield  , Warwick  Road BS5  area  and  walk  the  2  miles  to  Five-Floors-of-Whores  in  Waverley  House  and  Milennium

Why the double space between words? It's actually hard to read like this.

My car's exempt as I'm sure many will be. If not exempt should be plenty of places to park for free if you look into it. For example just south of the river is a large ASDA supermarket car park - few minutes walk from a well known apartment used by ladies of easy virtue, and quite an easy walk to the Harbourside etc. And the VOI electric scooter scheme is still running in Bristol. Few quid for a day's use IIRC - not tried it myself.

In the future when you see the scooters grouped together on the pavement you will know that an escort must live close by.  :)

That is a very fair point. They will be an absolute boon to punters.  :D

I live near three stations for them I have yet to see any gents with wobbly tummies on them - just young people. I'm actually curious to see what he accident rate is.

Didn't know Waverley House was known for it.

237 crimes and collisions reported by Police between December and March according to the Bristol Post - Voi point out that's out of 460,000 rides so far in the trial.

If you live outside Bizzle, the river ferries from Bristol Temple Meads take you right to the riverside beside Waverley House and also to the Harbourside.  I really enjoy the ferry rides (cost £2.60 though) but many are open-topped so make sure the weather is good.

Me either. Clearly I'm not paying attention.
