What are peoples experiences with the blue pill? I have been personally using the generic sildenafil for about 4 years now, and upon initial discovery it was a true game changer! Even though I only really suffered from mild erectile issues, it gave me a bit more confidence in bed and allowed me to last a bit longer in the bag. Started at 25mg increasing it to 50mg. On odd occasions have taken the max dose of 100mg but rarely need that much.

However, more recently (and maybe its age) I havent been quite experiencing the positive effects I once did. Increased blood flow is still there but it seems to be all travelling to my head more than my nether regions. So its going the wrong way lol ! Also giving a bit more palpitations than normal.

I have seen ads for Cialis - anyone have any experience with this?
What are your experiences with the pill and what dosage etc?

What you have said is very similar to my experience, and I too am wondering about these new tablets, there are several comes up on Facebook, and all sound intriguing, has anybody tried any other form of male enhancement with any success.

suggest you look at the main/general/national page (rather than a regional page) as there have been a number of threads/discussions on ED medication/the blue pill on there over the last year or so.

Lots of info and different guys experiences - from which if i remember correctly (with out re-reading them) different guys get different experiences and have different opinions etc but most would seem to agree that there can be a fall off of effectiveness over time. so don't use a higher dose than you need to (to give yourself the option to increase the dose when really needed).

(a forum helper can move this thread to the national/general page if you wish - to get more input than just from the SE region - which is generally quite quiet)

I think your body gets used to it. Stops being as effective. When i first took one. Whilst waiting for a girl in hotel. Civvie lady. I was getting hard just doing a piss and thinking about sex.
As body got used to it, only got hard with foreplay and not thinking.

Alternate. Some weeks take viagra, some weeks cialis.
Works a treat.

I've been prescribed testosterone gel as my levels were reducing.  I find this helpful.

I use 100 mg of sildenafil for my punting, I have to have a completely empty stomach and drink plenty of water and then I get an erection that reminds me of my youth.
I have tried 50 mg Viagra but found that it could be unreliable at times !

If you have underlying issues causing ED, then these issues worsening might have an impact on the effectiveness of Viagra. Otherwise, I think its quite rare to develop a tolerance to it.

I suggest a conversation with your GP.

Totally agree.
I’m one of those blokes who has no problems with talking to my GP about anything and everything. For years my doc was female  ( No she didn’t change sex, just left the practice)
She gave me great advice about the blue pill……… and also about my health plan etc.

I find it strange and a bit sad that young guys are taking ED meds of any kind like it's a badge of honour or a cool thing to be doing. A lot of the time they have no medical need for them, I'm sure it's a bit of FOMO , they think they will be harder for longer or last longer or be able to go several times, especially in punts so they 'get their monies worth' .
Maybe if they watched less porn or took more time to let the sensations take over rather than be driven by a set of tick boxes they would be less likely to feel the need to take them, I'm sure they are just storing issues for later in life because when they do actually need them they won't work  :unknown:

Maybe I'm wrong but then again.

I use the sildenafil 50mg. It works so well, half empty to empty stomach. I take mine 2-3 hours before sex. It usually lasts for 48hrs before it wears out

WGs have freaked on how rock hard my cock is, they applied extra lube & asked me to take it slow.

if someone doesn't have issues causing ED then you could ask the question why are they taking it?

from what i have read, elsewhere as well as here on UKP, I think many guys do experience some drop off of effectiveness over time for whatever reason that might be.

two pieces of advice that i think are worth repeating - see your doctor and get checked out and don't take a higher dose than you absolutely need to (so leaving some room to increase the dose later if needed.)

Spot on MissWolf.
Just taking the pill for taking its sake sounds daft to me.

But like taking vitamin tabs when you’re already eating ALL the right food anyway.

I’m no expert regarding the subject. But does taking any of the hard on pills actually give you are rock hard knob….. or harder than norm I mean.

Offline Bassman

Tried it once just to see if it’d have any effect.

Got blood shot eyes in about 20 mins and major pressure them too.. Big bad headache after a little while too.

Decided I didn’t like the side effects and stayed away. If I ever get ED, I’ll go doctors and find an alternative.

Same as anything.  I took it to see if I got any harder an erection. I didn’t.

Yes.

I'll take a nibble of a 100 mg tab ahead of any encounter where there is a possibility of condom wilt. Even if I've cum previously that day then i'll be well hard after an hour  or so and the possibility of extra rounds is also there, which whilst possible, wouldn't go with the wearing of a johnny.

Relying on viagra at a younger age is a sign of something else in most cases, i.e., high blood pressure. I don't knock the people who take the occasional pill as it removes the initial anxiety of having to perform when first sleeping with someone new, anything further just seems excessive.
